New MS:How Will the Queue Be Set Up?

I am curious to know how Disney is planning to set up the queue for MS now. I would assume that there are a lot more people who will want to do the non-spinning ride versus the original ride. It would make sense to have two lines-one for the original and one for the non-spinning. I would hope that they wouldn't have one big queue for both, and then as you are about to board ask you which you would like to ride. Has anyone heard how they are planning on handling this situation?

What it has stopped spinning? how does it work now? has the spinning stopped yet? iof so anyone goes after it "sans-spin"

I doubt very much the queue will be changing, they're basically only turning off some of the centrifuges giving people the option of which experience they're taking. I would assume they would just have everyone in one line and when you get to the part where they're asking how many are in your party, that's when they'll also ask which ride you'd like to take. Especially since they're saying it'll be up and running by the beginning of summer.

I found this on All Ears:

Epcot Guests to have Choice of Two Mission: SPACE Adventures

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., May 2, 2006 - By the beginning of summer, Epcot Guests will have two options when it comes to riding Mission: Space -- the original thrill attraction and a new version for those who prefer a milder ride experience.

The new version, which is created by turning off the spinning centrifuge, may be more suited for some Guests, such as those who are prone to motion sickness or have other conditions. Both versions will offer an exciting astronaut training experience through a dramatic story that invites Guests to explore a new world.

"By offering a second adventure, we hope to broaden the appeal of Mission:Space and enable even more Guests to experience the attraction," said Al Weiss, president of Walt Disney World Resort.

Signs posted in the queue area of Mission: Space will outline the difference between the two adventures and provide health advisories appropriate for each experience.

"Providing a choice between two ride options will help to further encourage all Guests to carefully consider posted health advisories when making their decision," added Weiss.

Mission: Space opened in August 2003. Since that time, 11.8 million rides have been given on the attraction, which simulates the launch, approach and landing of a futuristic spacecraft on Mars. The attraction is made up of four separate ride systems, each with its own centrifuge and programmable simulators.

My guess on how the queue will be set up is that they will combine the Fast Pass Return and Single rider into a single line (or get rid of single rider all together). Put spinning on one side, fast pass in the middle, non spinning on the other side. That's the way I would do it.
