New "Mom's to Be" Thread!

I'd like to join, we just started trying for #2 this month and 1st time was the charm! I just found out today that I'm due around 1-3-09

hi all!! just wanted to pop in and say welcome to all the new moms to be!!

i go to the doctor on thursday to see if i'm any more dialated. i'm really hoping so, but i'm also hoping that since i live in reno where all the earthquakes have been happening, that i don't go into labor during on or that one happens while i'm in the hospital.

We've been having earthquakes in the Midwest, too. Strange! Thankfully, only a couple have trickled out this far. I hope things are progressing nicely for you!

Congrats!! It's difficult to wrap your mind around something especially if in your heart you hoped for something else. My only (so far) is a one year old baby boy. He has been such a joy, watching him grow. Obviously I have nothing to compare to but to watch him take a truck and drive it around when he has a mickey doll and another baby next to him on the floor. It's amazing ... Now your big girl will have a baby brother that will love her and protect her for the rest of her life. My little brother is three years younger than me and very protective ...

Thank you for your kind words. DD already has a little brother so I know what you mean about watching him play with trucks. They are the best part of my life, and I'm much better with the idea of another boy now that it has sank in. I guess it makes DD even more special.

Today was finally my last day of teaching, for a while. I still have a couple more days of work to do though, exams and stuff, but then I´m ready for the arrival of our little guy!
Can´t believe that my due date is NEXT WEEK. Oh, I can´t wait

Too cute Rebecca! And you're not gonna believe this. Mo has the SAME outfit! His Grancie bought it for him! Great minds think alike!

Grayson does too....and he's OUTGROWN it already...I have to pack away the NB and 0-3 stuff month away already...::sniffle:: I swear I got every monkey thing Carters makes at my shower- that outfit plus a couple others, towels, robes, mitten, booties, blankets, the stuffed one. It became a joke as I was opening gifts and every single one had something monkey in it.


I can't believe there are people on here due around the same time I was but A YEAR LATER already. It really does go by sooooo fast.

Congrats to all the new mommies to be!!!!

39 weeks today. Can´t believe I´m as far along now as I was when last DD was born. On one hand I´m still really healthy, but on the other I am sooooo tired and fed up with being pregnant. I want to get this baby out soooo badly. Any ideas on how to speed up the process???

Hi! I just wanted to pop on and say that weluvdisney delivered a healthy, beautiful baby boy on April 22, 2008.

Jack was born via c-section, and was 6lb 13oz and was 19.25 inches long.

I didn't know if Julie would have time to get on and post, but she has since given me permission to provide an update. The pictures I have seen are adorable, and he and mommy are both home doing well!

I can't believe I'm about to ask this, but who, in the next week or two, is interested in taking over "The List"? Learn from my mistakes and keep it in a PM, or somewhere other than just the thread But the reality is that it is very likely I could deliver in the next 3 weeks or so. (Well, obviously at any time really... but we aren't even really all that hopeful based on various assessments that I'll make it much longer than that, if we reach that goal!) Any takers?

hi all mommy's to be. i just wanted to pop in to give an update.

i ended up in the hospital twice yesterday because of contractions and sent home both times because i'm not quite 4cm. they called my doctor and she said that if i don't have by my appointment that she would induce me on thursday.

Hello! Just wanted to post and say hello!

I am still around and hanging in there. 16 weeks this week and we have our 'big' ultrasound in two weeks. I have had some spotting issues and it turns out that i have something called a subchorionic bleed which is causing it, but I haven't had any problems in about a month, so hopefully that is behind us.

The ultrasound tech at one of my visits gave me a 70% chance of having a boy, but I was only 13 weeks at the time so I'm not buying blue quite yet. I think she might be right, though.

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!

I had an amazing massage today and the masseusse also used accupressure to a lot of trigger points, hoping to send me into labor. We´ll see... If not, at least I got a great massage
