New "Mom's to Be" Thread!

I'm not a "Mom to Be" right now but i like reading your stories. I cant wait to experince everything, just not any time soon. Hope you ladies dont mind that im here in your thread not really posting just reading and gathering info.

If any of you ladies from our original thread that are still waiting for your babies to make their arrival would like to PM me, I'll start reworking a list. The giant threads ARE coming back.... but so slowly! I watch every weekend (it used to be every day, until I saw that wasn't happening ;)) and it seems one new one has come in weeks. It's been 2 months now, and that's just nuts!

I have kept track in PM of anyone who has joined our thread, found out due dates, found out genders, had babies, etc -- so I just need the rest of you to PM me, which shouldn't be too bad.

(You know, as soon as I do this, our thread will appear immediately, right? :rotfl: )

Thanks! :goodvibes

dznylvr, I think that is completely to be expected! I have felt the same thing for most of this pregnancy. I'd be lying if I said it didn't worry me sometimes though.... everything does! Hang in there! :goodvibes

DisneyDreamer, thanks for checking in! I'm glad Chase continues to do well! Was it this past weekend your MIL was in town? How was the visit?

Mickeylulver, great pictures of Grayson's first Easter! :goodvibes

Let me know if you're missing, incorrect, etc -- or PM me to fill in question marks. I tried to estimate due dates of frequent posters, but might still be missing some info from people who haven't posted much on this newer thread. :goodvibes I apologize in advance if i inadvertently left anyone out!

Are the 4 mo. shots as bad as the first? I am so not looking forward to that appt. We are having the same problem with the clothing. The 0-3 stuff is officially outgrown- today I put Grayson in a one piece sleeper type outfit and he couldn't stretch his legs! The stuff without feet looks like capris. But he still fits into them in everything but length. He was 11 lbs. 14 oz. at his 1 month appt. so I imagine he'll be another 3 lbs. or so at his 2 month. I'm not sure if I should move him up a size in diapers- I've got this case of Swaddlers that has 200+ diapers in it, and I'm afraid if I open them he won't get through them all!

I hope all is ok with her hips!

Abigail's hips are great! She's on the watch and see plan right now.

As far as the shots go, I think the 4 months were worse than the 2 months because she was more aware of what was going on. I nursed her both times to try and help, but I'm not sure if I will do the same for her 6 months.

As far as the diapers - I'm using size 2 Swaddlers because we noticed she was starting to have "blow outs" with the size 1. It seems like everytime she has a messy diaper it crawls up her back.

(She likes to have her messy diapers as soon as she gets in her car seat and we are heading out for the day :confused3 ) I guess the motion of the vehicle just brings out the best in our little princess princess: .

What a great job! I´m due May 10th and it´s a boy!

Take care everyone!

Woo hoo! So glad to see our list! Looks great! I do know that October Beauty is due after me. I think she is due July 1 because I remember she was due about 4 days after me. Hope that helps a bit.

My c-section will actually be about 7-10 days before my due date but I haven't got an exact date for it yet. I'll let you know when I do (though it may be a while before I know at this rate!) Great job on staying on top of things! :)

ETA: Oh, and momsully lost the baby a week or 2 ago, unfortunately. :(

:( Thank you so much! I know there was one other loss, and I was terrified to leave that person on.... I didn't realize I had left that one on also.

You can update mine. It's July 13th and we're having a girl. :cloud9:

Hi everyone. I've been so busy that I haven't had time to come post. All is going well though. Trying to get to work on the nursery! Just can't seem to pick out the perfect paint color.

Tasha+Scott is right. I am due on July 1st. :thumbsup2

I'll try to be around more.

I've sent a PM asking weluvdisney's date, to another DISer who is good friends with her IRL (we all live in the same city). I think you might be right, though!

My u/s is on the 8th. I will let you all know what we are having then! I am actually very excited b/c this will be the first time we get the 3D imaging. My youngest is 5 and it wasn't routine back then.

My little man is sick! I didn't realize how sick my babysitters were and now my Mo is! :guilty: He's not too bad though. His temp was 97.8 this morning and he's still eating well. He's just really congested and coughing. He's too young for over the counter medicine so his nurse told me to purchase a cool mist humidifier and saline drops. I'm going to tell you...it's a YOU KNOW WHAT to get those drops in his nose. Maybe I should try and do that while he's asleep. I have to suction his nose too, but that's just a tad easier. So today he WON'T be going to the sitter. Hubby is gonna try and come home early so I can make it to work. Hope Mo gets better soon. I have him in the living room napping with the humidifier. I'll be sure and move it to my bedroom tonight too. I'm to have it in whatever room he is in at all times til he gets better. :cutie:

Sorry to hear that Mo is sick! Owen has had 2 colds already, so I know how hard it is to help the little ones when they are feeling yucky and you can't give them medicine. When Owen got really congested and was having big coughing spells, we started taking him into the bathroom, closing up the doors, and running a hot shower to fill the room up with steam. It was a big help in clearing up his congestion, and made it easier to suction his nose. Plus it soothed his cough quite a bit. We used a cool mist humidifier, too, and the saline drops, but the steamy bathroom helped when the coughing got too bad for the little guy. Our dr. recommended this to us, and it was the best tip we got for helping him feel better.

Hope Mo is feeling better soon! :goodvibes

Hey thanks for that! I'll remember that if his cough gets too bad. How long did it take for Owen to get better? I'll have hubby try the shower thing this evening, or maybe even I will when I get home from work.

I'm afraid it was over 2 weeks before he was really over each cold. He started coughing less after about 8-10 days, but was still congested for another week or so. The first cold was shorter than the second one, but all total the poor little bug has been sick for 5 weeks already, and he's only 13.5 weeks old! :guilty:

Just wanted to say I´ve done the exact same thing with my older kids and it works wonders!

Hope Mo will be better very soon!

Just asking out of curiosity. Is anyone planning a waterbirth?
