Better, thank you! Oh yeah! Can't wait to find out. They told me they would check for me on next visit (which is the week we leave for Home, I mean WDW ), but I'm not sure if I want to hear "boy"! At least if I don't know, I can pretend I'm going to have a princess!

I'm thinking about nesting, but I'm too tired to really do anything about it. Does that count? LOL

Hi everyone! Welcome to all the new expecting ladies. Sorry I haven't stopped by lately. Noah keeps me busy!! Here's some pics of him at 6 weeks last Tuesday. Can't believe he's going to be 7 weeks tomorrow!! It's gone by soooo fast!

The naked ones always make me laugh, b/c I remember OUR attempt at that w/ our second daughter. We were trying to do a naked shot w/ her head in Dad's hand and she pooed all over him. He had to throw away the slippers he was wearing. Omigosh, I laughed sooooooooooooooo hard!!!

The nesting question... I think it is too early for me to nest...then I recall that Sunday night I was scrubbing the outside of the grill (ok, I never touch the grill!) And last night, I somehow went from wiping the table after supper to being on my hands and knees wiping down the lower cabinets...so not me - that's why I have a cleaning lady So, maybe I AM nesting!!!

Well yesterday wasn't fun....

Sunday night I barely slept, I had cramping in my abdomen for hours. I didn't think it was labor contractions because each one would last for 2 hours.

Then it would stop for a couple hours and start back up again. DH made me call the OB yesterday morning and the nurse told me to go maternity triage. Well I knew it wouldn't happen while I was there, but they did check me and I'm not dialated. Actually at the end of being monitored it did happen again. The "contraction" went up, and didn't come down for 35 minutes.

So they sent me home and I have been resting. I still don't know what happned, but my stomach is still sore from it. The best way I can describe it is imagine doing 100 sit ups and holding the last one for 2 hours. Then the soreness of all those sit ups hasn't gone away.

Weird but I guess each pregnancy is different. Oh the joys of pregnancy.

Hey everyone! Well I can't believe my Emma is almost 3 weeks old!! It went by so fast!

Well today is much better. After talking to one of my BFFs, who is a physical therapist, she thinks my abdominal muscle may have torn. Certainly would explain a lot and why I'm still a bit sore. I see my doc next week, so I'll bring it up to her and see what she says.

Well did my glucose test no gestational dietbetes I just have spots on my feet need to ask about. How swollen did you guys feet get when preggy???

Glad to hear it! As far as my feet go, I honestly don't remember!

Note to self and others...walking from the Smithsonian to Arlington in July at 33 weeks along to show the city to visiting relatives = not a good idea!!!

Hi everyone I have been a lurker on these boards for nearly a year and finally got riled up enough about something to start posting so I figured I might as well jump on in

To tell you a little about myself: I have a blended family, married my hero on Veteran's Day last year. We have 3 children between us, with our first together due in December. We just found out last week we're having a boy (and not a shy one either!) DH serves in the Air National Guard as a Security Forces officer. We are strong Christians, conservatives, and proud supporters of the military. My DH currently has 3 brothers serving in the military-one recently returned from Iraq, one currently in Afghanistan.

Both DH and I are also political junkies, so that is probably where you'll see me lurking most. Although I currently work outside the home, that is hopefully a temporary situation until DH gets more permanent orders. For the better part of the last 2 years he keeps getting TDYs and temp orders that have been enough to prevent him from holding a civilian job so we're praying for a permanent AGR slot on base soon so I can stay home with the kids and homeschool.

This will, unfortunately, be my last advised pregnancy, as this will be my second c-section and I have high blood pressure and am at higher risk for gestational diabetes as well. We do want more children though, so we plan to pursue adoption in a few years to help complete our family. We will leave that in God's hands to lead us down whatever path is best for us...

I am a huge disney fan, been collecting MM memorabilia since I was in my early teens. I had the great fortune of being childhood friends with one of the mouseketeers from the MMC in the 90s, and they wholehartedly supported my disney obsession DH continues to support my habit as well, and we're hoping to take a Disney Cruise sometime next year. I've been to all the Disney parks except for Tokyo, though it has been a while since my last trip so things have drastically changed.

This is the first pregnancy I've had where I felt utterly wiped out from the very beginning so this is almost like going through it for the first time. I was younger, lighter, and I think my age and subsequent baby weight I still had from before is working against me this time around but I have a strong support system in DH and he takes very good care of me, so it does make things easier than they might otherwise be.

According to all the calculators I should be due Dec 17th, but the first ultrasound put me a week further along so it was moved up to the 12th. Last ultrasound showed me appx 5 days even FURTHER along, but we didn't change the due date because there is absolutely NO question about dates, etc.

I'm having a scheduled C-section so I won't be surprised if we end up scheduling it for earlier than the 12th.

At least I get a nice long Christmas break Thankfully DH got bypassed for deployment so he's safe from that at least until after little man arrives.

What a relief!!! My father deployed many times while in the military, retired and now "deploys" in a civilian capacity. The man just can't get enough of the Middle East I guess.

Welcome JB ... and congrats. What a wonderful introduction!
We are semi-military as my husband is in the Guard ... just left FT to take a great civilian opportunity last year .... which, has him still going to work on military installations as a project manager for new buildings his company has won the bid to build. His next project is in Niagra Falls, but we will not have to move. Yee Hah!
I am so glad you are free from a deployment when the baby is born! Those darn deployments are no fun for anyone. DH deployed when my oldest was 6 months to almost 2yrs. Fortunately, that was a really good time to be gone, as she doesn't remember it and when flying into his arms yelling DADDY when he got home, it was sooooo cool it makes me tear up to remember it. He had been so worried, so I spent a lot of 'daddy' time w/ her doing photos, videos, etc so she would know. He even ate supper w/ her at night w/ a big framed photo at his spot.
Anyway. I hope you feel better soon .... I agree w/ you that age and the added weight from other pregnancies make a difference ... I am feeling your pain

We went for our "big" ultrasound today and we are having a boy!!!

I have thought it was a boy the entire pregnancy, so it was nice to get it confirmed

We had our 3-D ultrasound the other day. No good pictures came out of it. apparently he does not like to have his picture taken. Stubborn just like his daddy! But they did find out he is just a little over 4lbs at 32 weeks. Doctor is still planning on keeping my 09-25 due date but baby is currently measuring at a 09-18 due date. Doctor kept on going...its not going to be a small baby over and over! We figured that when he was bigger than normal at the 20 week ultrasound...plus DH sister had two babies over 9lbs and the third one was 8.5lbs. All of DH family is tall so we figured we would have a bigger baby and that he will probably be tall. I asked Doctor is they could kind of guess how big they think he is going to get but he could not tell me. Said I will probably need another ultrasound later on to see how he is developing....other than size everything looks good.

DH has been in for so long, he's already been to Iraq during Desert Storm, and he was in Afghanistan in 03-04, so he's already been there, done that, but he'd like to go back so I won't be surprised if he ends up going sometime next year. Since he changed career fields from Special Forces Weather Ops to Security Forces, his chances went up dramatically, as it is one of the most heavily deployed fields.

I won't be happy about him leaving, of course, but I won't try to stand in his way either. He's much happier serving in the military than any civilian job could ever do for him, so I'd rather him be happy than working any old job just for a paycheck.

seems this week has been the week where my little man has decided to show off his gymnastic abilities...he's been doing somersaults, twists, turns, you name it nearly non stop for the last few days! I gotta teach this kiddo when to sleep!!!

I was soo sure my baby was a girl! I was completely wrong when we found out its a boy!! No I did not want to be suprised but DH did...I coerced him into finding out because he knew it would drive me crazy waiting that long and in the long run I would just bug him until I found out!

Hello! I thought I would join in the fun! I'm Laura, this is my first pregnancy. Went for my first ultrasound today, I'm 11 weeks pregnant. Due date is 2/19/09. Doc says everything looks good!

We'll probably find out what sex the baby is at the next ultrasound, but I'm guessing it will be a girl since we already have a boy's name chosen.

I was totally surprised when they said this baby was a girl. I have 3 boys already and just assumed that we would be having another boy. When the tech told us it was a girl, I said "What? Go check that again.".

I think she was a little offended that I didn't believer her . But she looked several times...still a girl. At my 3D u/s I was 29 weeks. This time we had a different tech and yep...it's a girl!

Sigh.... I wish I "knew". With my daughter, there was not a doubt in my mind. I even had a dream of her at 3 years old. With DS#1, I had boy feelings, but was wishing for a girl. Also had dream about him, only all grown up. Can't wait to see if it's close! DS#2 was the most recent, but I don't remember what feelings I had.

This time I'm not getting anything other than I'm sure it will be a boy because I want a girl.

What have you guys been doing for morning sickness? I don't remember being nearly this sick with my other 2. I've lost about 7 pounds in three weeks. I can barely keep anything down. At this point, I am existing on ginger ale, fruit loops and bagels. I can't even keep water down most of the time!
