New MK Paid Disney After Hours Event Announced

Disney magic? Really? I'm finding that in short supply but kudos to those who still see it.

That aside, why would anyone bother with onsite? The resorts are way overpriced for what you get IMO. It looks like the extras might be disappearing gradually so all you might have left is this notion of Disney magic.

That's a whole different thread. Literally, you can find hundreds of threads here explaining why people only stay on-site.

I think that it fits here quite well since one major reason given to stay onsite is EMH and people are discussing the possibility of EMH going away. However, you can certainly ignore my post.

People are speculating they will go away based on an unconfirmed, unsourced rumor on a non-official Disney website. See my previous post in this thread.

Don't mean to derail, but I cannot understand how this would work. Isn't it tied to your ticket? Not the band...you would have to buy multiple tickets...
You don't need multiple tickets. There is an entire thread explaining Same Day Fast Passes. It was something like "Maximize FP+" but I haven't seen it pop up in my subscribed threads recently.

You are certainly correct. My post was just conjecture and speculation too.

I haven't looked and can't get into the Disney site; did any of those dates HAVE later hours or late EMHs and have they been switched? All of those are Thursdays save the 8th which is Mother's Day.
I checked the April dates and none of them are EMH nights. They are all 10 or 11pm closings.

As long as those park hours stay the same, I have no problem with it! Too bad we don't have that I do yet :(

Our last day is April 28 and we have Epcot planned for the morning and scheduled FP+ to end our day at Magic Kingdom. If they wind up closing early I'm going to be really sad...it is the only night we plan to stay late!

But if it is Disney "After Hours" and the special event is being offered at a time when the park would normally be closed, who cares if Disney offers people another experience for which they have the "pleasure" of paying $150.00 for 3 hours of normally closed park time? If that experience doesn't appeal to you, don't do it. There may well be a market for such an experience, if so, Disney should try to "sell" that experience. It's a win for Disney and a win for those folks willing to pay $150.00 for 3 hours in a less crowded, normally closed park. Just saying ...

There's a small part of that hopes this is true and the reason the price is so high is because booze is included. The head explosions would be epic!

I'm actually thinking this is a possibility and would go a long way to justify the cost. Since my May trip is only myself and my DS5 a late night is definitely out.

Now you are trying to use logic. That won't go over well at all ;)
