I just joined this board. Here is an intro:

I am planning our first trip to Disneyworld and Universal Studios. Right now I have airline tickets and just bought tickets to the Disapalooza Diagon Alley Party. Our travel dates are 12/4-12/13/15 but I may add on one more day and go on the 3-day Bahamas Cruise on the Disney Dream.

This trip is a surprise for my two kids, ages 12 and 14 (will be 15 by December). I will be telling them on the older's birthday, but will keep the Disapalooza a secret until that day (if I can).

I have been doing a lot of planning and changing my mind, surprising how many options there are and how many different ways to do Orlando. I am thoroughly enjoying the planning, a bit surprised at how much!!

I want to thank everyone who posts for all the information and support you share. I have gotten a lot out of the reading I've done. Hope to post more and eventually may be able to help someone else.

I'm a newbie, who will also be there during December. I'm planning to do the Diagonal Alley party also, but I'm struggling with losing any amount of Disney time. I'm waiting until park hours are released for December before I decide for sure.

I am having the same problem with the constant changing of my mind!! It's a little mind boggling, all these details!

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but it said "New Member" so I thought I'd give it a try.
I'm fairly new to DIS boards (joined in 2013 but becoming more active now that we have an upcoming Christmas 2015 trip (!!!!!)
I'm having trouble figuring out how to change the avatar on my account/upload a picture--any suggestions?

Also, how can I have all my posts show the years/resorts I've visited? i.e. AKL '12, AKL '13, etc?

You need 10 posts before you can upload a picture for your avatar and create a signature. Check the sticky at the top of this forum.
