Which resort did you purchase? I thought I remembered reading not all properties could be split like this??
I didn't take the plunge yet, just called to ask some questions. I'm considering OKW.

A few years ago we purchased direct at OKW, it was a 100 point contract.I didn't take the plunge yet, just called to ask some questions. I'm considering OKW.
I'm still trying to decide between OKW direct and AKV resale. I'm an over thinker... so I'm pretty much torturing myself.A few years ago we purchased direct at OKW, it was a 100 point contract.
Wow this is awesome information. Thanks for asking this question OP!
I'm a poly resale owner and taking two trips next year...so I could buy 50pt one trip and 75 another? It's awesome to know I could split up the cost (I'm in Canada so can only purchase at the resort in person).
Dont know anything about fixed weeks since we aren't interested in that but the 125 minimum for new buy ins is a fact according to more than one guide we have spoken to as well as contact made through the website chat.New buyers can buy a fixed week even with the 10% extra that you pay for when you buy one can still be less than 125. New buyers do not have to buy 125 points. 125 is needed for blue card benefits.
I’d have thought you don’t have to be there in person to buy if you’re from Canada. We’ve just bought in the last few days and we’re in the UK.Wow this is awesome information. Thanks for asking this question OP!

Unless you reside in one of two provinces you have to be there in person if you are purchasing from a timeshare developer. It's a Canadian (provincial even) requirement so wouldn't apply to the UK.I’d have thought you don’t have to be there in person to buy if you’re from Canada. Wow. Never knew that. I assume that’s UK and USA?Unless you reside in one of two provinces you have to be there in person if you are purchasing from a timeshare developer.
I'm not sure if there are any requirements at all for the UK and USA, I don't think there are?Wow. Never knew that. I assume that’s UK and USA?
I can’t square the 125 point minimum with Disneyland Tower DVC. Disneyland is for 2-4 night stays. They don’t even sell tickets longer than 5 days. And almost the entire thing is studios. So 4 nights at 25 points a night = 100. So what I do with my other points? Bank forever?
Would it be that much different from when the minimum was 230 when DVC first started? That is a lot of nights for WDW given the OKW point chart.
I take your point, but I guess the difference to me is that Old Key West is mostly 2 bedrooms and Disneyland DVC is mostly studios and pods.Would it be that much different from when the minimum was 230 when DVC first started? That is a lot of nights for WDW given the OKW point chart.

Maybe it will be popular with Angels fans.
We always do five to seven nights when we go to DL-five days in park, some beach or pool time. My husband went to college in Southern California and would spend the whole week at the beach and visiting his buddies if he had his way, and the kids love a beach day. We are West Coasters but the ocean is colllllld where we live.I can’t square the 125 point minimum with Disneyland Tower DVC. Disneyland is for 2-4 night stays.
