New Member Reservation

I called Member Services this AM and found myself in the "system". I was pumped. We closed on our resell last Mon. I went ahead and made reservations, BWV in Sept and BCV in Nov (both 1BR) --thank you, banked points.

Can someone tell me what BWV preferred view consists of vs. standard view? Do all face the BW? Only preferred view was available those particular dates. Right, pitiful me.

What sort of view should I expect at BCV? Are some views more desirable than others?

BTW- Anybody know of anything fun to do there?

First.... CONGRATS!! and Welcome Home

I wish I would have kept the link that has each of the rooms listed and the views they have with comments for some.. if you do a search here on the DIS you may find it or one fo the other members who will stop by to welcome you home may have the link needed... I printed the one for our home at the Wilderness Lodge and refer to it when thinking about vacation time!!

BWV - About 80% are preferred, 20% standard. Preferred views overlook the BW, lagoon, pools, courtyards. Standard views overlook the parking lot and circle drive.

BCV - We usually get a pool view. You can also get a woods view or Epcot view. Not all the woods view are an Epcot view. Some overlook the roadway. If you stay at BCV, you can use Stormalong Bay, the themed pool at the YC/BC/BCV. You can only use this pool if you are a guest of one of the three resorts here. They have a fun character breakfast at BC at Cape May. Good buffet, not too crowded.

Boardwalk actually has 3 views:

Standard - facing the front driveway or above the former DVC offices near Swan/Dolphin (end of hall near Jellyrolls).

Preferred garden/pool - facing the main or quiet pool or a garden area.

Preferred boardwalk - facing the boardwalk.

If they just said preferred, it's probably garden/pool. If you want a boardwalk view, you can call back and ask to be placed on a waitlist.

BWV preffered view is a garden, pool view, unless you request a boardwalk view and one is available, when making the ressies.

when we had booked our stay at the BWV, it was a preffered view, i asked ms for a boardwalk view , they were not available,
when we checked in i ask again and we received a boardwalk view twice(we had to change resorts for one night).

the BCV views are quite pool view & courtyard.
basically facing the the front entrance were you drop your car for valet, canal view, a service road/tall wooded area (but i believe you can see the epcots fireworks if your high enough) some people say the views at bcv are not the greatest and some people say that the views are just fine.
