When purchasing in as new member of 160 points, can it be split into 2 contracts? In other words, can I buy 1 contract with 100 points and 1 with 60 points so that it is easier to sell if need be?

Yes you can but your ownership must be titled the same on both contracts.

What does that mean exactly? Just that they are in the same name?
Also what does that mean if I need to sell? Do I have to sell both at the same time?

One Membership account, same names on both contracts, and yes you can sell them separately.

I believe you would if these were initial contracts. There are no closing costs for add-ons. However, I believe they were recently allowing initial contracts as low as 100 points so you may be able to get the first 100 as the initial and the remaining 60 as an add-on to limit the closing costs to just 1 contract.
