New member - making reservation - problem and ?

We took the tour of SSR in late August and called our Rep on 9/1 to confirm our purchase and put down our $500 deposit. The $500 deposit was charged to our credit card on 9/2, we received our package for signiture and our membership # on 9/10. We signed everything and returned the package today by FedEx. I just tried to call MS to make a reservation at VB for early April. MS told us that even through we have our membership #, they could not process our reservation because we are not showing as finalized in the system and won't be until they receive and process our paperwork. Has anyone else had this happen? The Rep told us that once the $500 deposit was charged to our credit and we received our membership # ard we could immediately call and make our reservation. Does anyone know how long it will take for them to process and include us in the computer once our paperwork is received? Thanks.

Call your salesguide. He/She is the one you need to straighten out any problem or walk the paperwork through the process. It may be that things are a little slow due to all the hurricane issues.

Call back and speak to someone else. If they tell you the same thing, speak directly to your Guide. He/she should know the details of your sale and be able to troubleshoot the problem on DVC's end.

Your Guide did give you correct info: As soon as you place the deposit you can make a reservation. The stay cannot actually occur until after your closing or building opens, whichever is later.

As long as your points are for a March or April UY at SSR, and your checkout date for Vero is 4/13 or earlier, you should be able to make the reservation now.

Thank you for the quick responses - my husband just called back MS and this time was able to make the reservation with no problem. It is so great to have these boards to turn to when you need an accurate answer!
