New member handbook

Got home today to find a package in my mailbox from DVC. YEAH!!! It was my new member handbook. Our resale went to Disney on 8/17 and I have already made our 1st trip for the week after Thanksgiving.

My question is..... The envelope label says SSR - resale and on the back of the member handbook is the business card of the Guide who showed us around SSR in the Spring??? Also included is the SSR - Product understanding Checklist.

Is this normal??? We bought BWV. Will this guy be my "guide" from here on out?

Really just curious. Not that he was a bad guide.... SSR was just not for us. Thanks for the info.

You can always request a new guide if you are not comfortable with the one you have.

The only time you would need a guide is if you are adding-on. SSR is currently what is for sale, but you can get on the waitlist (thru your guide) for the other resorts.

It is normal. They do a very good job of tracking who you toured with and that person becomes your Guide whether you buy from them or not.

Same exact thing here - had guide name on it. We closed 8/20 and I got my guide yesterday. I poured through it - was so excited! And I guess my membership cards are in the mail, too!

Woo hoo! Just in time for our trip in Sept.!

I had no problems with Kim "the guide"- SSR was just not where we wanted to be.
