new member can't acess points

I just became a DVC member 2 weeks ago during our stay at WDW. We did a 100 points at AK. I thought I could book now. But nothing shows on my points till Feb. I am a FL resident so we go at off times but I want to make sure we have the points before I go on our DCL cruise.

If I'm understanding you correctly ,
you purchased points with a Febuary use year which means you can use those points for any reservation occurring after Feb. 1.
You don't however need to wait until feb 1st to call and make your reservation. as long as you're within your booking window, you can make a res tomorrow for a stay occuring after the 1st of feb.....

I believe that the OP will have an AKV unit in Kidani Village. If that's the case, they will not be able to make a reservation at any resort with a check in date prior to 5/1/2009.
