New McKim's Mile House and ImaginAtrium Member Lounge >> NOW OPEN! 3/18/25 <<

Do you have to buy this program by a certain time or could it be any time during your uy?

Idk what my ceiling would be for buying MMBY, but $200 is probably it.
For $200 it better include something else unless they are raising the OTUP price.

As is at $20 a point that is only $40 savings versus just buying the 24 OTUP.

MMB $200 + ($20 x 12 OTUP) = $440
Regular Price $20 x 24 OTUP = $480

There’s the added issue of USB A vs. USB C charging ports. Which should be provided? We’ve moved off USB A as devices have been upgraded, but a lot of locations with charging ports installed (hotel rooms, cars, planes) are USB A. Having to carry multiple cables can be a hassle. We’ve purchased a portable power bank that we charge up and have available to recharge phones as needed in the parks. At home, my phone seldom drops below 50% over a full 24 hours, but connecting to the sporadic wifi in the WDW parks and resorts drains the battery much more quickly.
Nope, I just carry a USB-A to USB-C cable and I am good. There is always USB-A around. I currently have a USB-A to three USB-C to charge my iphone, iwatch (via adapter) and anything else I might need. What sucks though is how short the charger cables are for the Magic Band+.

Well, the other items like the lounge access do have a little bit of value for me.
But I agree at $200 it's a much tougher sell.

I haven't even used the OTU and Id probably pay more.. but I am a sucker. Got my $99 back with memory maker last trip. I was in some sorta mood right when we noticed we were next to the lounge at MK and if I had to wait I would've gotten even more moody, instead I went inside ate a granola bar and chilled out both my body and attitude.

Don't get me wrong we are certainly getting our money worths this year with lounge access and DL ticket deal plus the OTUP.

We won't be going back to DL next year though and I'm ok if I have to skip the lounge.
I really just want the OTUP discount :)

Forget the memory maker I think it more than paid for itself with the experience you posted about DS!!!

Loved reading about that!! 😍

I think most get MMB because of the OTUP, if they raise the price too much without including something extra I think many will turn it down.

Everybody still gets to go to the lounge - yes you have to wait, maybe it’s not that bad since you are saving whatever price they have raise the MMB to.

Do they? With 1-3 hour waits now that there is MMB, are people without MMB really going to the lounge?
Yes everyone still has the opportunity to go to the lounge. Does not mean if you want to get in that you have to go at a more inconvenient time for your travel party without MMB? Probably but certainly not ideal as you still have the opportunity to go if you plan to get in line early.

International visitors (like me) actually won't be able to enter the lounge. To be called back you need to give an US mobile number or wait around, which is not reasonable to do for 3 hours. And remember, international visitors cannot buy MMB. The only option is to buy a local SIM for the stay, which is an additional expense.

Why is international not allowed to buy MMB?

Is there a reason why someone would willingly wait to get into the lounge? It just doesn't sound like it's worth the wait. I visited the one in DL once, because it was new and I wanted to see it. I've never had a reason to return. Is it that hard to get out of the weather at Magic Kingdom Park? Are cheap junk chips and a soda worth waiting for? Is there nowhere else to sit in that park?

Re: non-US folks cannot buy it: Because it's too much of a hassle to figure out the legal restrictions in each country---this is partly an inducement to buy a timeshare, and those are tricky.

It's pretty easy to get a cheap/free US mobile number.

I often call the U.S, I often call MS, with often I mean 1 per month or so.
After I switched carrier from free calls world wide I needed to find something to replace my calls to the U.S otherwise my cost would go up.
I found the app “TextNow” it allows free calls in the U.S and free sms too. To keep a phonenumber I pay a yearly fee of $5 or $6 - I use that when I visit Disney they text me when my room or lounge is ready. I use the same app when visiting other places in the US too great for texting the frontdesk etc. The money is well spend.
