New maximum daily limit on number of FPs?

I read somewhere (facebook) that MDE is now limiting the maximum number of FPs per day to 6 (new like as of yesterday or today). Can anyone confirm or refute this? They didn't post screenshots, and I have no idea if it's true. But I figure DISers will be the first to be able to confirm or deny.

Assuming this is real... who knows why they did this, unless they are going to roll out selling additional FPs resort-wide (after the CL pilot).

It's easy to use way more than 6 FPs a day (legitimately), especially in MK, if you start with one or two pre-booked and keep grabbing whatever FP happens to be available and close.

On Thursday when changes to the MDX app were noted on the Rumors-News Board and here on TPAS by an AP, a DISer used 7 regular FPs in addition to 3 Extra FPs in AK.

Maybe someone is confused with the CL Extra program giving a pre-booked 6 but even with that, regular pre-booked FPs can be duplicates of the Extra FPs - no restrictions - and 4th and onward regular FPs can easily be booked.

Thank goodness because that would be a game changer for us.

We were in parks Mon-Thursday. We made our FP+ each morning then rolled them, and we always use more than that.

Our longest day I think we did around 19-20 FP+ plus a couple SB (where there is no FP+ offered) and 1 DAS.

Honestly, I'd avoid looking to Facebook for anything important. People love to post things there just to see if they can rile folks up. They do it knowing it's fake/false. Sad to get your jollies watching folks spin out of control off rumors you spread (not anyone here you, whoever starts these fake things to see the crapstorm that comes from it)

If I ever quit Facebook completely it won't be because they share my private info (because I don't share enough private stuff there for them to share) it will be because of crap like pot stirers.

This would also be a game changer for us. We enjoyed MK last week because we were able to get 15 fastpasses on Tuesday and 10 on Thursday (didn’t arrive until after noon on Thursday and took some time to have dinner at BOG), but if this were to change, I don’t think we’d be back- at least during the busiest times. The lines were so awful that we weren’t about to wait in any of them (except the ones that don’t use fastpasses). Even IASM regularly had a 40-60 minute wait. We actually, for the first time in forever, used a FP on Monsters Inc. because it had a 50 minute wait.

I just really think it can’t last, though. They aren’t going to make a lot of money selling extra fastpasses to CL guests (or others) when it is so easy to get extra ones at no charge. We talked to a family from Shanghai about how they have to pay- and pay heavily- for them.

On Friday (two days ago) we had our first three for FOP, KS, and EE. Then we got the following:

4th: EE
5th: FOP
6th: Meet Mickey and Minnie
7th: Navi River
8th: Kali
9th: KS
10th: EE

They are spoiling us so that we will feel like we HAVE to purchase.

Certainly last week would not have been enjoyable at all for us if we could not have gotten fastpasses for everything we wanted to ride. Because the current system is so awesome, there’s no way it’s going to stay.

Closing this as it was an unfounded rumor - there are no limitations on FP usage beyond the initial 3 when in a park.
