New March 2017 Check In thread

I'm sitting in my office watching snow fall. We are expecting 3-5 inches today. Another snow storm is forecast for Tuesday. Checking the weather for DL and it is averaging around 80 for this week. I leave in 11 days and it can't come fast enough.

We leave in 11 days too! I can't wait! Thankfully we don't have any snow here, but we definitely had enough this winter!

We are leaving Monday after work! We'll be in the park Tuesday morning. So excited!! I'm anticipating crazy crowds but secretly hoping for better lol - I'm hoping that the earlier hours will help a little bit now but who knows. We'll be there and that's enough for me!

Agreed! And earlier hours ALWAYS helps, as do fastpasses! It'll be magical even with the crowds!

We are leaving Thursday afternoon (driving) and will be in the parks Friday and Saturday! I am SO excited. Work has been so stressful lately, and I'm really looking forward to a little escape from reality.

Really thought the Easter Egg hunt would have been announced by now. I guess it isn't starting until nearer Easter?

We did the original in Tokyo Disneyland a couple of years back and was really looking forward to how it transitioned over!

We are leaving on Friday the 17th and will be in the parks for three days. This is a very different trip for us. We recently moved from SoCal to TX and used to visit Disneyland with our AP very often. This is quite unusual to be "planning" a Disneyland trip. We are really unsure of what to do, but it isn't be cause we're unfamiliar with the parks. We "only" have three days. We are trying to line up viewings of people we know who are in entertainment and one friend with a pass is going to join us for a day, but it honestly feels very strange. It's been almost 4 years since we've been.

Really excited to be visiting during food and wine festival and the 50th anniversary of POC.

We used to be locals with APs, too. We now live in northern CA. It's SUCH a different experience - you're right about it feeling strange at first! I enjoy that now we get full days of immersion instead of a few hours here and there like the old days.

Enjoy your trip!! We'll be there the day before you, but we're only staying 2 days.

Our first day in the parks is in 2 weeks and I can't wait. I've started gathering the things we'll need in the trip in one place. DD and I went shopping today - a second swimsuit and new runners for me.

Based on the dates from last year compared to when Easter was, I was hoping it would be happening during our trip this year.

I hope everyone there this week enjoys their trips and the weather.

We fly out on Saturday, and I have the flu. I'm not a happy camper. I'm on TamiFlu and it seems to be helping. I need to be well - I'm missing my happy place and Mickey. Fingers crossed that I'm better before Saturday, and that no one else gets sick.

UG, I'm so sorry! I hope the Tamiflu kicks in and you get over it quickly! My husband just flew in from a business trip last night with a green stuffy/runny nose. I'm quarantining him as much as possible and have a call in to the doctor and an appt for him tomorrow. We leave Friday. Go away, germs!!!

Will your doctor prescribe Tamiflu for your other family members to head it off? I know sometimes doctors will do that for the rest of the family members.

What a difference a day makes. Our daughter who lives in Northern California has suddenly had a change in plans. Son in Law has to come to Southern California for work that same weekend so she is coming down and bringing our two year old granddaughter. They'll be spending two days with us in the park and we get to show her around for her first trip to Disneyland!! So excited!

The adults only trip has suddenly become more complicated ... In a good way!

Just had to share the news.

Sorry to hear, hope you feel better soon. When did it start? Without Tamiflu, I had a fever for 5 days, by day 6 I could have gone back to work but had to be cleared by employee health who was closed

FWIW, our pediatrician's office won't prescribe Tamiflu for kids. They don't even test for flu.

I hope you feel better soon. Sometimes a few days can make a big difference. Lots of hand washing for the other members of your family.

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm feeling better than I was this weekend. Probably won't go to work tomorrow, but back on Wednesday. And yes, I can get TamiFlu for my daughter if necessary. So far she's healthy.

How very fun! I hope you have a marvelous time with your granddaughter. It will make the trip so magical seeing Disneyland through her eyes!!!

It is so exciting when plans change to make for such an exciting surprise. Especially when it brings grandparents and grandkids together.

Getting so excited! We leave in 5 days! Have DS's bag all packed And some of my outfits pulled but still a lot to do. Getting a little overwhelmed thinking about the crowds but I just keep reminding myself that I would rather be standing in a line in Disney than sitting at my desk :)
Really hoping that we may get the Egg-stravaganza for the end part of our trip.
