New "Magical Gatherings" celebration

I have read that the new 15 month Magic Kingdom celebration will begin in October along with the new fireworks display called "Wishes". Does anyone know what date in October it will begin?

Could you direct me to where you read it? I am curious to know what will be new-parades, shows, etc? I have heard that most new celebrations begin in Oct. I would check back when the Millenium celebration, etc began, just to take a guess. Meanwhile...can you give me an idea about what the new celebration is?

Hmmm, interesting. I wonder what it will be like. I also wonder if they will change all the other parades/night time shows along with it (like they did for the Millennium Celebration). I love Illuminations the way it is, so I hope they don't change it.

One website mentions an "International Press Event-Magical Gatherings" 10/8-10/10. I'm hoping that means it kicks off early in the month! Please post with any additional info as soon as anybody has any.

I think the press events are for Mission Space and Mickey's Philharmagic.
