New Magic Bands

Hello,

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere in the many Magic Band threads.

We have just booked a reservation for Disney and would like to customize new magic bands. Since we went to Disney last year and had magic bands these are still linked to our names. Is there anyway to customize and receive new ones? I see an option to unlink the old ones, is that what I should do?

No you do not need to unlink. Customize the new ones and they will send those to you. Both magic bands will be linked to your account and you can use them interchangeably.

How do I customize the new ones? I might've missed the link where I can do that when looking at MDE online.

Thanks, but when I go there it only shows the old magic band and then there's a link option below. I don't see where to customize new ones...am I missing it?

How long ago did you book? I believe the system will update and let you choose new ones a specific amount of days before your trip.

When is you trip? How long since you made the reservations? Some things are not available until a certain time before the trip and also take some time after booking.

Go to your confirmation email and copy the reservation number. Then, go into My Disney Experience and link the reservation. After that, you should see the magic bands and be able to customize them.

Our trip is from 9/12-9/20.

It shows my reservation as already listed on MDE under My Reservations.

The system probably hasn't updated to add your magicbands yet. You have until a couple of weeks before you trip to finalize the customization so no need to worry yet.
