New Loews Hotel

Interesting concept. Get's me and my hubby a new place to stay since we have tried all three of the other resorts. And RPR is the best:banana:     !!!!!!

It has been rumoured for a long time that there would be another hotel. I'll wait for the official announcement. How long does it take to put up a hotel?

I have no idea where they would put it, but I've heard this rumor a lot, and especially just before the Harry Potter announcement. I heard the value hotel would be Potter themed and lower priced than the other 3 on-site properties. The rumors say the resort would be themed after Hogwarts.

I would assume the new resort would have FOTL access. I wonder what it will do to the lines? (Yes, I am totally spoiled by FOTL and very possessive about it!)

I think if it is a value resort, it will not include FOTL. There is no way that you can sell express passes for $40 per person, yet have rooms available at under $100/night that would include FOTL for four people.

The resort could go in the area next to Royal Pacific. There is space.

That makes sense! I had't thought about it that way.

I would also be surprised if Loews were to manage it if it's a value resort as that would be inconsistent with the rest of the chain.

Universal only has room for one more hotel. Previous rumors had that space being used for a new tower for the RPH. I can't see that space being used for a very low end hotel.

I don't envision the hotel being on the level of a Disney value hotel. I think the quality would at least equal a moderate and maybe higher. Value could include charging a price that values FOTL. Value could mean breakfast is included. I'd expect at least some kind of FOTL, maybe limited to once per attraction per day. Without some kind of FOTL it will be very hard to compete with hotels that are just a few blocks away. Disney on site resorts are much closer then most of the offsite resorts. Universal onsite hotels don't have the same geographic advantages.

One of the posters said Universal and Loews would run the hotel but the Loews name won't be on the hotel. All Loews properties are suppose to be at least 4*.
