New Kitten Gift Basket

Hi all,

I am going to make a gift basket to give my friend who just got a 10 week old kitten. The kitten is the first pet she has ever had in her entire life and she is really excited.

She already has most of the basics, like food and water dishes, collar and bell, litter stuff, food etc.

What do you think would be some good things to put in the basket? I want to keep it at around $25- $30 worth of stuff.

I was thinking picture frame
more toys & treat

but then I'm lost!

Anyone have any ideas?

What about treats and a cat photo frame that she can frame a photo of the kitty in?

i'ld say just a variety of toys, and a few treats, likethe photo frame, maybe a good scratching pad or post,,btw all our cats loved a medium sized wicker bastket to play in,, we had one with thier toys in it,, they would dump it out and play with the basket.

If she has a camera that uses film, a roll or two of film and a photo album. Or maybe a $5 gift certificate to the vet, maybe they could make one up for you if they don't do it regularly.

How about a brush? My cats loved to be brushed.

My cat loves to play with his toy wand. You can change the toys and give the kitty variety.

Another of my cat's favorite toys is what we call his "snake". It's actually a 1/2 inch to 1 inch wide strip of fleece trimmed from a blanket I was making. It's probably a couple of feet long, but he's grown so it isn't too big for him. He carries it around in his teeth. Really cute. If you sew and have a strip of fleece it might be a fun addition.

Maybe a brush? My cat loves for us to brush him.

Does he have a little scratching post? That might be a bit big for a basket, though.
