I was very excited to see ACM clearing out space for new products. I stopped by today and I momentarily thought I had walked into Michaels!!! The new items so far are....Martha Stewart and KC company (not sure if have that name quite right). I am so disappointed. I have never seen anyone either use or buy the Marth Stewart items and can you use coupons on it? I don't think you can at Michaels. Same with the KC stuff -- it looks just like the aisle at Michaels.

No ACM here..but I saw lots of people look at the Martha items at M's and laugh at them when they first came out... I've never bought any of her stuff not even on clearance...

I had the same experience the other day! I was annoyed - Martha's crud taking up valuable shelf space in 2 stores now instead of just 1! Don't they realize this is a step backwards!

I recently looked at the Martha stuff in M's and was not at all impressed. I can't see myself ever buying it. We have ACM and Michael's close by and they both have just about exactly the same stuff. I wish we had Archivers here. I've heard they are awesome.

The only Martha Stewart items I've ever purchased were two pens and a glue pen. Most of the other stuff isn't that great and is overpriced.

I was at my ACM yesterday and didn't see any Martha stuff. I have bought some of her glitter. It's actually very nice to work with (I used it on my ABC element swap so some of you will see first hand:)). I've looked at other stuff but don't need any of it, or can find a less expensive substitute.

Now, if we ever need a new coffee table, I'll just buy one of her gigantic albums:).

oh yuck! are ya kiddin? i have always found acmoore to be way better than michaels in the scrap section, now it will be the same. oh i'm so disappointed. i have been to acmoore while they are clearance everything out, never even gave it a thought that it would be martha stewart crap that they are putting in there. Yuck-a-poo!!!!!!:furious:

per the 2peas board, martha has also invaded walmart. :) haven't actually gone to walmart to see if mine actually sells the martha craft stuff but then, I'm not really a walmart or martha scrapbook stuff fan. :) I did buy a nice display box from her line because I had that random 50% off martha coupon and I needed something to put dd's "get out of freakin novice" picture, medal and number card and it was just the thing. maggie

Have never been all that impressed with Martha's stuff either. The only thing I've bought of hers are 2 border punches when they actually let you use a 50% off coupon on her stuff. I would never pay full price. I had called the ACM near me a couple of weeks ago asking about Solutions Cricut cartridges (of course they had never heard of them) and they said they were about to redo their scrapbook section. It seriously needs a makeover ... heck they still don't have the Pooh carts in. Very depressing ... sometimes I feel like I'm the only one shopping for scrapbooking supplies in Central Jersey ... we end up waiting months for new products.

I know what you mean. I go to the ACMoore in Brick. They redid the scrapbooking section about a year ago and really didn't improve anything. They've had the few same Cricut cartridges forever. They changed the paper that they carry, but I think I've used most of it now. I'm always trying to find new stuff. Lately I've been buying more stuff online. If I had more time and ambition I'd open my own scrapbooking store.

I swear I can actually walk into a craft store and not buy anything which is absolutely amazing. I can't find anything I like anymore. There is nothing new. I swore I was never going to buy scrapbook supplies online because it's just to darn easy to spend that way. It's the only way I could get my Bind It All, Crafter's Companion, House Mouse stamps and certain Cuttlebug Folders tho. I even have a friend who lives in TN who will pick me up stuff at Hobby Lobby since there are non in NJ. I've got a trip to Hobby Lobby planned for our drive back from FL in August.

I was just in ACM last night and I noticed the Martha stuff right off. Sigh...

My store did have a bunch of cool stuff on clearance though... Stuff I had looked at but couldn't justify the $5.00 for brads, you know?

Remember when.....

You could walk into ACmoore and find....themed paper? You know - you're doing a swap needing cloud paper and - there it is! Or water paper, or dinosaur paper or any themed paper that makes sense?

Apparently this is no longer in vogue (yes I just said in vogue). Now we have to have abstract odd shapes and group them in bad racks by color.......

at least they have bazzill......oh wait, they are usually out of black, white, red, and have a limited selection.

Good thing I have so much overbought paper that I haven't had to go to AcMoore or Michaels forever!!! Only for little things and the Michael's now 1 mile down the road which means believe it or not I spend less! In and out - no lurking! No need - can go back easily any time!

Damn that Martha Stewart:stir: Perhaps she needs some more stock tips to get her butt off our scrapbooking aisles?

Well, I went, coupons in hand. I returned home, coupons still in hand. My wallet is safe in ACMoore.

Write and complain!!! Email, snail mail. They won't know unless you say something.

I haven't been in ACM for a few weeks so I haven't seen the updates. Why ACM would go with Martha is beyond me, that have got to know her stuff doesn't move at M's.

how disappointing. i can't stand martha and now she's invaded acm. i thought we were getting a bigger and better selection. what were they thinking?

No ACM near me but we have Michaels. Our Michaels now allows you to use the coupons on MS stuff but I haven't, just out of principle in protest of her frumpy scrapbookers comment! A clerk there told me that the MS stuff wasn't moving quickly enough so they decided to allow the coupon.

I did see some cute paper on sale in her section but again - didn't buy it.
