New Info About the MNSSHP issues

I still like the Secret Stroller Squadron idea...run em' over til they run out of the park!! :thumbsup2

How do they expect to not end up ticking off the day guests when they are advertising that the park closes at 7pm? If I had planned on visiting the MK and it was advertised to close at 7pm, I would plan on doing everything that I wanted right up until closing time. That is certainly my plan for the day that we visit the AK park. I will leave when I am done, even if that means that I finish the last train up EE and come down to walk all the long way out to the bus. By waiting until 7pm to herd the guests out, I see lots of unhappy park guests....not a good way to start a party watching ticked off guests being herded out early....nope, not my idea of pixie dust.

How do they expect to change the park into a Halloween scene with all those guests around? I know that they can work wonders, I have seen the transformation happen around me at MVMCP, but that was done while I was herded into Tomorrowland and came out to find the snow and all the other neat events had started. It sounds like a logistical nightmare to me. I am pretty upset about the whole thing at this point. We are only going to be at WDW for three days. The last day is our MNSSHP day. We hope that we don't end the vacation on a sour note. Since we will be the second MNSSHP date (9/22), I am concerned that we will be a test group too.

To me, if they sell a hard ticket to enter the park for an exclusive party, I want to be there for the exclusive party with other folks that paid for the privilege. I don't want to think about how many people that had been at MK as day guests, that will be there hanging out on Main Street for the parade and fireworks. There is a limit to what CM's can do, especially if folks bring costumes to change into in an attempt to "blend in", limiting the ability of the CM's to see the wristbands.

Overall, I see this as a BIG mistake. If not for this year, then for next year especially, because people WILL work the system and wear the costumes that will hide the wristbands and keep trying to screw the mouse out of a buck and in turn screw us out of the privileges that we paid for.

If they can close the park early for Night of Joy, they can dang sure do it for the other hard ticket events like MNSSHP and MVMCP. If they desire to do experiments on crowd phase out/in, let them try their ideas on the new P&P parties in 2007. Leave my party alone PLEASE! Maggie

PS. Until now, I have not emailed anyone, but that is about to change.

We have tix for 9/22..our last night of vacation. We arrive on the 15th and plan to watch the fireworks from the beach at the poly. I hope they have this all figured out and that things run smoothly. DD4 is so excited to be a cowgirl for halloween and to surprise her with being able to dress up early and trick or treat at 'Mickey's House" is going to be a highlight of the vacation.

Sign me up for the DIS chain moving the non ticket holders out of the park :)

I have a lot of faith in WDW. Anything that I have ever done there has went smoothly. The event planners that work for WDW think of everything... and I certainly expect them to do the same for this.

Now that I've said that... If WDW doesn't get rid of all those non-ticket holding guests (I'm there on 9/15,) then sign me and new DH up for the DIS chain to move those people out of the park.

See you all there!!!

I wonder if the hours will be changed to match the new Pirate and Princess Parties - 7:30pm to 12:30am.

We are attending the MVMCP, so we are concerned as well. In a way I can see a possible reason for the change. Maybe Disney wants to make Wishes available to the day guests. MVMCP is hosted quite a few evenings which makes seeing Wishes really hard for people not attending one of the parties.
This doesn't really apply for MNSSHP as it gets dark later.

Just a thought - I think they are trying to make everyone happy. I have faith they know what they are doing.

If not, I'll be the first to throw a stone.

So after reading what has been told to others I shot off another email to WDW Guest Communications. Asking for clarification basically.

My DH brought up a good point though, in the beginning of Sept. there is another hard ticket event happening at MK. Some Christian Rock Concert. The concert starts at 7:30 pm. They are closing the park at 6. So wait, for this concert they will close down and make sure everyone is out AN HOUR AND A HALF before the TICKETED event, but MNSSHP they won't and will just treat it like EMH?

What? Why? How is that FAIR? GRRRRRR...seriously thinking about selling my tickets on Ebay I'm getting so mad about this. I know I should have faith and clap and believe but honestly I'm getting a bit ticked. It's about 3 weeks until the first MNSSHP and NOONE is saying the same thing when you call or email! Executive Offices seem to be nonchalantly breaking the whole FALSE ADVERTISEMENT deal by NOT closing early and removing all guests who do not have a ticket. Then the poor CMs that have to answer the phones are telling us that THEY ARE closing an hour early and shooing the nonpaid people out. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is itching!!!!!

I guess it's still a wait and see for the first party but I feel soooo bad for those at the first party and being guinea pigs! :confused3

That doesn't seem fair that they will close the park that much earlier for Night of Joy, but not even an hour for the hard-ticket "parties". :confused3

But will you agree that those people who are suggesting/fearing that Disney will not make an effort to shoo people out are over reacting?

I wont agree because they cant even do it for EMH. Just got back from WDW and attended 3 EMH events and during all 3 eevents I have seen at least 20 to 30 people just in 1 line not having wristbands on I said something to a CM and got a response of Sorry that is not my line or is not my job.
