How do they expect to not end up ticking off the day guests when they are advertising that the park closes at 7pm? If I had planned on visiting the MK and it was advertised to close at 7pm, I would plan on doing everything that I wanted right up until closing time. That is certainly my plan for the day that we visit the AK park. I will leave when I am done, even if that means that I finish the last train up EE and come down to walk all the long way out to the bus. By waiting until 7pm to herd the guests out, I see lots of unhappy park guests....not a good way to start a party watching ticked off guests being herded out early....nope, not my idea of pixie dust.
How do they expect to change the park into a Halloween scene with all those guests around? I know that they can work wonders, I have seen the transformation happen around me at
MVMCP, but that was done while I was herded into Tomorrowland and came out to find the snow and all the other neat events had started. It sounds like a logistical nightmare to me. I am pretty upset about the whole thing at this point. We are only going to be at WDW for three days. The last day is our
MNSSHP day. We hope that we don't end the vacation on a sour note. Since we will be the second MNSSHP date (9/22), I am concerned that we will be a test group too.
To me, if they sell a hard ticket to enter the park for an exclusive party, I want to be there for the exclusive party with other folks that paid for the privilege. I don't want to think about how many people that had been at MK as day guests, that will be there hanging out on Main Street for the parade and fireworks. There is a limit to what CM's can do, especially if folks bring costumes to change into in an attempt to "blend in", limiting the ability of the CM's to see the wristbands.
Overall, I see this as a BIG mistake. If not for this year, then for next year especially, because people WILL work the system and wear the costumes that will hide the wristbands and keep trying to screw the mouse out of a buck and in turn screw us out of the privileges that we paid for.
If they can close the park early for Night of Joy, they can dang sure do it for the other hard ticket events like MNSSHP and MVMCP. If they desire to do experiments on crowd phase out/in, let them try their ideas on the new P&P parties in 2007. Leave my party alone PLEASE! Maggie
PS. Until now, I have not emailed anyone, but that is about to change.
