New Info About the MNSSHP issues

My wife just spoke with a supervisor at Disney and we're quite pleased with what they told her. The supervisor said they had indeed planned on closing the park at 7pm and just asking non-ticket holders to leave. She was then told that, due to an overwhelming amount of negative responses, they are going back to last year's plan of closing at 6pm in order to clear the park.

So again, it looks as if all of our emails and phone calls have played a part in this....they will be closing the park at 6pm, this decision was apparantly made very recently.
 
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all those whoe e-mailed and called. I am new to the boards (this is my first post) . This will be my fourth MNSSHP but my DH's first. We have told him how great it is and I would hate for it to be overcrowded, etc for his first time.
 
Thanks for the update!

I still don't understand why they messed with such a good plan like the one they had the previous years, it worked like a charm. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Let's hope they apply it now!
 

I'll feel much better about this news once they update the official website and/or start returning some emails confirming this information.

Anyone else heard this yet?
 
:surfweb: I sent 2 e-mails and I have not gotten any reply yet , just a generic one stating they got my message?

Me too.
 
I really hope this is true!!! If it is, thank you to ALL who sent emails and who called!!

But like the others, I will feel better about this once the website is changed and/or we start getting responses to our emails.
 
If anyone has a reply from Disney on the e-mails they sent please post them here for us all to read.

I wrote an email this morning expressing my displeasure at the new hours. I'm going to send an email every day until they get back to me with an answer about this.
 
I almost wonder if keeping up the email / phone call complaints would be a good idea?

Squeeky wheels get grease.

Maybe continue emails until we get consistancy in the replies?

I was thinking the same thing....at least until we actually see something more concrete from them.
 
I sure hope you are correct on this one too! we are going for our first time this year also and have been very disappointed in the news that they aren't closing early. When I called they specified that they "Will not be issuing refunds" for any tickets bought! we may be out of luck on this one if they don't change it. :furious: Helen

If for nothing else, we could all form a human DIS chain in the park and extricate all the non-wrist banded people ourselves!!! :thumbsup2 ;)
