New Incentives

I'm confused, maybe someone will take pity and help me out. Say, I want to buy 160 pts (new member) and use my disney visa along with a referral. How much would it cost me per point for BLT? Also, I am interested in the 2 WDW APs. Does that mean that I would only get that plus the gift card and no point discounts?

I have the exact same question! I am so anxious to talk to my guide, but he doesn't come back until Friday and then I am afraid he will be swamped! If anyone knows the answer to this I would also appreciate and answer. Can't remember if the $500.00 gift card was separate last time or if people got the Disney Visa GC with the incentives.

I called and left my guide a msg tonight. I am hoping to hear from her tomorrow or Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Does anyone know if you have to put down 10 or 20% to finance through disney? And how much would price be per point at BLT for 50 points if already a member? Thanks!

I know that you have to put at least 10% down when adding on with Disney (just did it myself) and as of Saturday, it is calculated on the entire price (not the discounted one if you are receiving price point reductions).

I believe that the incentives for add ons start at the 100 point level and that if you are only buying 50 points, you will pay the full shot of $112 ($5600) UPDATE: Someone is posting that the 50 point level qualifies for $8.00 off per point--$104 making it $5200.

At the 100 point level, you can qualify for $8.00 off PLUS an additional $6.00 (if the 3 day cruise doesn't interest you), dropping the price to $98 per point, only $9800.

If you add on at 125 or more, than it is $96.00 per point, for a total of $12,000.

I just increased my add on. I had not closed yet and was able to change my deal.

With the new incentives pretty much paid the same thing for an extra 15 points in my contract. I lost DP's in the deal, but was able to book those same 5 nights elsewhere for less points (88 vs. 97) so that is all I am giving up. In just a few years, I will make those points back and still end up with over 40 years worth of additional points.

With the new incentives, if you add on to BLT with at least 125 points (and don't take the cruise), you can end up with $16.00 off the price, or $96.00 per point.

There are no extra incentives for paying cash vs. financing.

Good luck!

Does anyone know if you can put the 15% cast member discount on top of these incentives?

I just left a message for our Guide too (who is off until Saturday). The disclaimer on the Disney Visa website says that the AP deal cannot be combined with any other offer and that the down payment needs to be a minimum of 15%.

When I spoke to my guide yesterday, I was told with the dis. visa you had to put 15%down. otherwise 10% down of 17,920 so 1,790 and then they added the discount on points 16 per point for AKVl or 14 per point for BLT to the down payment. So total down payment for AKL 4,352.00 or BLT 4032.00
leaving total due BLT 13,888.00 AKL 13,568.00 for 160 points.

15% down is fine but I guess I still am curious what this does for add-ons. Can an existing member still put down 15%, add-on 100 pts. and use the dis visa incentive for the passes? And does that for sure knock out the extra $6 or $8 incentive? It looks to me then the passes are just a wash if you lose the $8 incentive and a little better if you lose the $6 incentive. Just need more clarification on the dis visa promo.

Wait, is there still the $800 gift card with the disney visa as well? So it's 2 annual passes and the gift card or just the passes now?

That is my question.. What are two annual passes worth? $6 discount for 160 points is 960.00, are two annual passes at DVC discounted prices more than that?? Also we are going to buy 170 points so that is 1020.00 with the $6 discount. So if two annual passes and a $800 gift card on top of the basic $8 off then we may have something. But to just get two annual passes doesn't seem like a good offer.

Of course I need someone to tell me what it costs a DVC member for two annual passes, because I can't find my "oerks" book.

I was really hoping for an additional incentive to use the Visa card on top of what Disney is offering. That is dissappointing.

I believe the annual passes are $399+change for the adult ones with the DVC discount. We get $100 discount on them.

I'd like to see the passes in addition to the dollar amount. From what I'm reading, it's one or the other. The dollar amount can be put on what you owe and then buy a pass when you need it.

50 pt. add-ons get:

$10 savings per point at AKV
$8 savings per point at BLT
$13 savings per point at SSR
$8 savings per point at VGC

It's also reported that VB and HHI get a $5 savings per point as well but I've not seen that confirmed since the new incentives started yesterday.

Has anyone determine if there is an additional $2 off per point at the 240 point level?
