New Incentives

Has anyone determine if there is an additional $2 off per point at the 240 point level?

According to what I was told there is no additional $$ off at points levels over 125. However, add-ons of 200+ pts. who choose the incentive that gives $$ off and the cruise will get the 7 night cruise rather than the 4 night cruise given at the 125 point level. I did hear that in order to get the longer cruise buyers have to put down 25% (I believe) rather than the 10%. If someone buys 200+ pts. with only the 10% downpayment they would get the $$ off per point and just the 4 night cruise.

Sorry, I should have clarified. This would be a brand new contract a BLT, so my understanding is that you get $8 off intially, then I can take the cruise or an additional $8 off for a contract of 200+ points. My question is the extra $$ off goes

160+ additional $6 off
200+ additional $8 off

My question is does this continue to 240+?

No additional discount for 240 points. $16 per point would be the max at BLT. The cruise at the 240 point level is the 4 night. For new contracts the 7 night cruise comes into play at 270+ points.

50 pt. add-ons get:

$10 savings per point at AKV
$8 savings per point at BLT
$13 savings per point at SSR
$8 savings per point at VGC

It's also reported that VB and HHI get a $5 savings per point as well but I've not seen that confirmed since the new incentives started yesterday.

All those great discounts but I couldnt bring myself to do it. I had to add the 50 points at BCV. :thumbsup2 Just sent the paperwork back in today:cool1:

Thanks WDWfantasy, that's what I needed to know. :thumbsup2

At what level does the GC/AP incentive for Disney Visa cardmembers kick in?

We are going to add on 100 points at SSR with a cash purchase.

If we buy, Sept 08 points, the price is $112 - $13 = $99 per point

If we buy Sept 09 points, the price is $112 - $13 - $6 = $93 per point.
If we used our Disney Visa on the (09 points only), we could purchase at $99 per point and receive 2 APs or a $600 gift card.

He said that the incentives cannot be combined.

This VISA incentive is a bit fuzzy to me. As people learn more from your guides, if you could post what they are saying, it would be great...to make sure that we're all hearing the same thing.

For 100 point VGC add on , I got:

$800 gift card applied to purchase price
2 DL Premium APs

I did not get any of the point discounts or cruise incentives. So price of point was $112.

SO..remember that's $800. + 2 AP's (worth $400. each) = $1600. savings. Not too shabby!!:upsidedow

I would suggest ALL, either existing member or "newbie" should be calling thier guides for "Official" answers to these important financial matters and not rely on member's/other's relaying information that might not be correct for all instances/applications. :goodvibes

How long will these incentives last for? I'd like to see the BLT models on our trip next month and sign the paperwork there.

My guide just called me back!!! She has been out of the office, and will get all my info with incentives ready for me and call me with the info tomorrow!!!! :cool1:

Here is my situation: we just bought into blt, our closing is not final yet but we signed the inital paperwork. We got the 160 developer points and the $5 credit per point.

I just called my agent, he said the $6 per point is only for ssr. So I would be able to get the $8 per point credit and the disney visa deal (he said 2 annual passes or a $600 credit). Very confused by what I am reading now.

Can someone help me?

Why on earth (all due respect) would you buy SSR through Disney when ROFR is passing on mid70s and below for SSR on resales?

Let's keep this thread on topic with Incentives as the subject please. Also, many folks buy only through Disney to take advantage of their financing plan. Plus your points become immediately available which is advantageous for those looking to book a trip right away.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming... :)

There's another thread on a possibility of getting 2APs instead of the additional cash incentive if paying downpayment with Disney Visa. Has anybody received a confirmation from your guides on this incentive option?

This is oh so confusing!!!!

Just got off the phone with our Guide. She is redoing all of our paperwork again. We are buying 160 points at BLT and took the $8 per point incentive plus the $6 referral incentive.

The only thing is that your 10% downpayment is calculated full price ($17,920 x 10%= $1792), then the incentives are applied as and extra down payment. ($17,920 - $1792 (Down Payment) - $1280 ($8 per point) - $960 ($6 per point) = $13,888 financed.

So if you take this plan you need to come up with a larger, out of pocket downpayment then if you applied the $5 per point to your downpayment.

By the way, I calculated our savings over the 10 year loan period and this deal will save us $4,173.64 (if we don't pay it off early)

OK, just got off the phone with our Guide (she called me from her cell on her day off!!!) The way she explained the Disney Visa AP Passes is you would still get the $8 per point incentive but would have a choice of either the AP's or the $6 per point. So if the APs are worth $800 but the $6 discount is worth $960, I'm sticking with the $6 discount. Also, with the Visa deal your down payment is increased to 15% from 10%.

Thanks for the clarification. Well we are buying 170 points so that equates to 1020.00 off so the AP's are not a good deal.

Got through to our guide today. We changed to the $14 off PP from the $5 off PP/ developer points. Our first DVC contract at VGC for 160 points! Paperwork should be here Monday. I am doing a big time happy dance right now! I am also planning our future vacations for like the next 5 years. I am sure the next phase will be the addonitis I keep hearing so much about:lmao:!
