What is the deposit change?

For the last many months buyers could use the dollar off credit gift card to apply towards their down payment, adding it to their own cash in order to reach the minimum 10%. Now it's reverted back to the buyer putting up the full required 10%, and then the dollar off credit being applied afterwards. Both reduce the amount financed, but this way the buyer is putting more money into the deal up front and is financing less.

Oh boy, I can see it now, they release the new incentives on April Fool's Day and everyone has to wait until April 2nd to find out if they're real or not!

We won't have long to wait for the new incentives.I did notice on my last stay at SSR in mid-March that the Preview Center vans were mostly parked in the preview center lot. I wonder if the new sales business has slacked off with the rest of the economy. Of course, buying and obtaining financing is just as easy as ever. My guide told me that the only reason somebody would not receive the lower rate is if they had a black mark of some sort on their record.

I am starting to believe this economy thing is a hoax, if it weren't for the friends I have that have lost jobs. Disney was PACKED in March and I hear even January the parks were packed. Also, my guide said their sales numbers for this year have been right on par with last years. He said they probably would have hoped for more than last year since they opened a new resort but still the sales numbers are strong. So we will see what the new incentives bring.

It's one of my obsessions for sure. Wish I had enough points to travel RIGHT NOW! But I'm broke (points wise) so I have to hold out for my November trip.

Then again.....I could change my Jan ressie and borrow those points !

Does anyone know...When incentives are supposed to be announced on a certain day (like tomorrow ), are they typically released at the start of the business day, later in the day????

I just put a call in to my guide. If the incentives are good I will add on BLT direct if not I will patiently wait for resale either at BLT or VWL. I told him we wanted to do 100 points now and another 60-75 in October but we weren't interested in the cruise and was hoping he had something else coming down the pipeline. We'll see if he gives up any clues.

I did our first purchase at BLT when they were offering the tile. Then came the cruise so I added on. I keep coming up with reasons why to do an additional add on. It is nearly killing me to hold off on sending in my paperwork for out initial purchase of 160 points at BLT. I am becoming obsessed!
