I am a teacher and have a family of 5. I did inquire about a fifth person and she said they were allowing that. She said it was about $100. I thought that was really cheap but she had to go give a tour and will call me back. I will let you know what I find out. This is a great incentive!!!

Is there a date that you have to cruise by? Is it Oct still - I find that hard to believe if there aren't any summer cruises.

This is what I've heard: An Ocean view state room (no verandah) for select dates in 2009 and 2010. This incentive includes taxes and gratuities, the $95 exchange fee is waived. It is not transferable and at least one purchaser on the contract must travel.....

I don't cruise, but it seems like an awesome incentive for those who do cruise...

Anybody know if this is only for add ons? Or is this incentive for new members too? I would love to know more about this. Guess we will be calling our guide this week. If anyone knows more, like what dates you can sail, I would love to hear!!

Whether cruise sales are slow or not, sounds like they are trying to get those of us who are already hooked on WDW, hooked on cruises too! A perfect target, I'd say!

I've heard the levels for new members (with referral) is
160 pts = 3 nt cruise
200 pts = 4 nt cruise
270 pts or more = 7 nt cruise

That was my thought as well, although I'm not sure I'd want to find out what the cost of the upgrade (prob. cat 9 to cat 4) and the additional person would be...

I would probably have to rent out the points from the first UY of my add-on to pay for the ugrade on the cruise!

Of course, it is Disney marketing at its best...My family gets hooked on cruising and the family I rent points to gets hooked on DVC and purchases while they are my "guests."

Talked to my guide today...

She said that you are able to upgrade the stateroom for $100 (I believe that was per person) and that the add-on that I was buying at VGC counted.

I need to call her back for additional details and will be sure to update everyone when I hear anything new.
