I keep changing my mind about our holiday in August :confused3 :confused3

Our 7 night cruise became a 4 night cruise and now it seems it will be a 0 night cruise :( (Very long story!!! Not particularly interesting)

Jon's holiday time from work got changed and it seemed we could go for 3 weeks instead of the 2 we had originally booked which was a massive plus :) but our original flight provider cannot fly when we want flights! However I have just discovered I have enough miles in my Virgin account to do a Miles plus Money booking (which was very reasonable actually - by August standards) so we booked those instead today :) Only snag was we had to pay in full today but never mind :teeth: We will work out something else to use the deposit we had already paid for our original flights. I am not sure I would fly charter again though, due to the lack of flexibility.

So we are now set for a 19 night break next August - I am hoping to do 10 nights at Beach Club Villas, 4 nights at the Hard Rock (it was cheaper to stay for 4 nights than 3 :confused3 ) and the final 5 nights in a villa.

I am quite excited!

Sounds fantastic, it's a shame about the cruise but at least you are now having an extra week. :)

Karen

This sounds fantastic, 4 nights at Hard Rock Wow, and BCV, just wonderful :goodvibes

Im sorry about your cruise, but I just know you will be on there one day ;)

Great news, Congrats, you will have a ball. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Sue :wave2:

Karen shame about the cruise but think about planning to fill all those days in 3 different locations :cool1: :goodvibes

:cool1: :cheer2: Woo Hoo great news Karen :cheer2: :cool1:

Don't worry about the cruise you can always do that another time :) I'm sure your new holiday plans will be fantastic :teeth:

Brilliant news Karen! You know how much we enjoyed the BCV and HRH :teeth:

Sounds like a great trip, Karen. I am sure you will all love the HRH (and especially the FOTL access!). Did you invest in a Universal AP for a hotel discount? We found the discounted rate more than covered the cost of the AP.

We are hoping to use miles+money for flights to CA next August. I called flying club today but I wasn't too happy with the price for what we wanted.......I think I will wait until the New Year.

:wizard:

I am sitting out the rates at the moment for Universal Frances - at the moment they are doing a stay for 4 play for free deal which works out to under $300 a night with hotel and tickets all included - beats the AAA rate too. It seems APH rates are a bit sketchy now and I am one of those sad people who likes to book - I get twitchy if I leave it too near the time. I am going to wait and see if any APH rates get released over the few months leading up to August and if they do, I will certainly be getting one :teeth:

Great news - enjoy your planning.

What dates are you going Karen? - we have 3 weeks booked August too :)

That sounds fab! :cool1:

Any room in your suitcase for an extra passenger? ;)

Sounds like a good idea! We booked early for our trip this August but a cheaper rate came out a few weeks before. We simply cancelled and re-booked. Have you joined Loews First? You can start collecting points and get a welcome gift delivered to your room. It's free of charge too! Loews First

I haven't Frances but I will now, thank you :)

Carol - I can't wait to get your great dollar rate :teeth: :rotfl:

I am getting very excited now. We bought a brilliant book on Universal with lots of information about the dining options, resorts etc and I am really enjoying that :goodvibes

Must get my skates on, it will be time to book my ADRs in one month!! Far too soon!

Johnny - we are flying out on Sunday August 13th from LGW. What about you?

We've booked the Hilton for the night before (Le Meridien had no family rooms left unfortunately as I was determined to try there this time), but got a great rate of £107 for a 4 bedded room :)

ITA I'm not sure how new visitors will react when they try and book meals to find out they're already booked solid, I think its ridiculous having such an early booking window, Who pland every day that far ahead??

Oh that sounds like a fab holiday :)

Claire ;)
