New High Speed Internet Access at OKW

I am sending this post via the new High Speed Internet Access in my room at Old Key West.

This rocks. It is still in the testing phase so connections are iffy at best right now but once they get it stabilized it will be well worth the estimated $10 per day that it is going to cost.

Hope everyone is having a great day. I've got 2 more days here and then back on the road to Houston...

Thanks for the high speed update Joshua. Is the access plug for the high speed in a convenient location in the room? Or would you reccomend an extre long cord.

Is there a wireless access in the lobby at OKW.........like in the main lobby for notebooks?

The high speed access at OKW is in several places. One is at the counter above the storage cabinet in the dinning area, and in the studios, I believe it was between the beds (can't remember for sure). There might have been one near the sofa also, and there is one near the chair in the master bedroom. DH checked them all out in January "just in case" they were working!

I believe you need to bring an ethernet cable as well as have a laptop with an ethernet port or card.

Are you being charged full price while it is in the phase-in stage?
