This is our first "adult" trip to Disney. Haven't been to WDW in over 15 years.
I keep reading that Dining Plan is only available if you pay rack rates and book them together. We currently have a week reserved at a AAA rate booked through Disney (not our AAA agent). Does that mean we cannot add the Dining Plan??

You need to book through AAA to add the dining plan. You can just take your current confirmation to a AAA and they 'take over' your ressies. You have to sign a paper giving them permission to do this. It takes 24 hours, then your ressies are turned over, and any changes you may want to make afterwards will have to be made through your AAA agent.
By the way.. I had to go to 2 different AAAs before one knew what I was talking about and how to do it. Make sure they have a certificate from the Disney College of Knoweledge.

If you're getting free dining, you can't have AAA discount rates. But if you're not in the free dining time, you can get the discount.

Have a great trip!
