New here...just booked POR for Nov 2008

Hello Hello...

been lurking on here for a few weeks now...just booked my hotel stay at POR and decided to join this board today as well!

Haven't been to disney since 1991 (eek... long time) and will be going in November 2008 for my 35th birthday celebration with my closest friends...

can anyone who's stayed at the POR tell me the good (and the bad) about this resort...also any good tips on where to catch the busses..ect?

We're leaving tomorrow for our second stay at POR. We love it. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is fun and the slide is great. The food court is not too big and easy to manage. There's a marina for rentals. The kids can rent fishing poles for just a few dollars. It just seems like a happy place. A bus driver once told me that "There's always something going on here."

Of course a good poolside bar always helps!

We've stayed at a lot of Disney Resorts and this is one of our favorites.

We recently booked our first family trip to Disney (I haven't been there since it opened!), and we're staying at POR. From everything I've read, this seems like such a great choice for us. Just two more months to wait!

Since there are five of us, we've stayed there several times. We all love it-adults, teens and my little girl. The grounds are beautiful, the food court has lots of choices and my kids love the quiet, less crowded pools along with the themed pool. Have fun!
