Hi! New here but have been trying to register for weeks. That's a whole other story. Only 17 days left before our trip, but better to sign up later than never, right?

My question is whether you have a strategy for dealing with crowds. We will be there for Super Soap Weekend, Food and Wine Festival and Festival of the Masters and I bet it's going to be crowded. Need strategies for dealing with SSW crowds. Not as concerned with F&WF crowds because we will visit EPCOT several times throughout the trip. Would also like to see Wishes and Illuminations for the first time, but again need a strategy. Thanks for your help!

I can't offer any advice since I have never been during this time of year but I did want to say:

:wave2: Welcome to the DIS:wave2:

First off, welcome to the Dis! Glad you found us.
Weve gone to WDW in July and during Christmas so we have dealt with some crowds. ;) The best advice I can give you is to get to the parks before opening. You can get so much done in the first hour before all the crowds build up. Hit all the big rides first, or rides that usually have lines, but dont offer FPs(Dumbo, Speedway) Also, if you are staying onsite, take advantage of EE. We usually only do it at AK & MK, but it helps us a lot there. And use FP to your advantge.
By following those strategies we very rarely wait in a long line.

Welcome aboard! I'll be there same time as you! As the previous poster said, hit the Magic Kingdom early! Head straight for Fantasyland and get in as many rides as you can. Then slow down and take the time to browse on Main Street, or check out other things. Downtown Disney will be a little more crowded because of the Festival of the Masters. The only park I'd be concerned about is Disney MGM studio --for Soaps crowds. Find out where the stars are, and avoid those areas. Otherwise, you should be fine. The crowd is not nearly as large as it is during the summer or Easter breaks;

Although it will be crowded it will not be too bad this year because The Super Soap weekend (13th & 14th) only uses MGM and Jersey week (11/3 through 11/7) is the week before Super Soap weekend. My advice is to plan on going to "other" Parks on Saturday and Sunday because MGM will be very crowded. Most of the Super Soap fans will not be there for the rides and in fact they are looking for autographs and photos with their favorite soap stars but there is allot of SS Fans. Going early to MGM on Saturday or Sunday will not help as the Soap fans also want to get there early because they limit the number of autographs and photos for some of the big stars. In addition some of the attractions such as Who Wants to be a Millionaire will be used by the soap stars so guests cannot play that day, you can only view the stars. This causes the attractions that are not used by the Soap Stars to be even more crowded. Anyway, the last two years both Super Soap weekend and Jersey week were at the same time causing all of the parks to be extra crowded. This year Jersey week is the week before Super Soap so the crowds will not be as bad. Plan on Going to MGM on Friday before or the Monday after Super Soap Weekend and you will be fine. MGM will be a very packed park on the 13th and 14th so if you don't like crowds stay away from MGM on those two days.
