Hi, all. Glad I found you.
My story:
Yo-yo dieted for years; currently about 80 pounds overweight. Lost 25 so far, the last 15 on WW. I love to walk/run, but currently have some shin issues. I'm swimming and doing Pilates to strengthen my legs/lose more weight so I don't have so much weight to carry/build up my lung endurance (the swimming part). I hope to be back to walking by early July, running by early August.
I'm planning on running the TOT 13K--it's my absolute goal. Even if I have to speed walk it, I'm committed to it. I'm interested in sharing weight loss experiences, training hints, general Disney fun, etc. Since I'll be coming down to WDW by myself for the 13K, I would also like to find people to hang out with the day of the race/night before. (I plan to spend morning-afternoon in the MK revving up my endorfins.)
I haven't been to the world in 6 years, but I have trips planned for this month (with my mother) and next January (with my nieces). Most people I know, including my parents, don't know about the race, and I plan to keep it that way till I finish!
If you've read this far, thanks!
