New Haunted Mansion Movie...?

Has anyone heard anything new about this? I know it was in the works and was going to be a move horror based movie. Anticipated to be much better than the eddie murphy version.....

Any thoughts?

I don't believe there has been any more movement on it.

Guillermo Del Toro announced he would reboot the film at the Tron: Legacy Comicon panel back in 2010.

I think early 2015 there was a picture taken of Del Toro and Gosling on Radiator Springs Rachers.

Then late 2015 Ryan Gosling was attached to star.

Since then it's been radio silence (to my knowledge). I know both Del Toro and Gosling are huge Haunted Mansion super fans. It's actually what inspired the music behind the album "Dead Man's Bones", which is a collaborative effort between Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields.

IFAIK, it's not even on the horizon. When they announced it, Del Toro warned of his backlog of projects and then it went into turnaround every time Disney would shuffle the studio executive team; Del Toro stays busy with projects green lit by other studios — his development deal with Dreamworks; "The Strain" novels and TV show; the stop-motion "dark" Pinocchio (originally Spielberg was to direct); The Shape of Water; Pacific Rim 2; etc. Disney has to commit and get onto Del Toro's schedule if they want the film.
