oh no I really wanted a wristlet to use as a wallet... what don't you like about it, just the size is it to big or small ?

I saw these in a picture on Josh's website and wondered if these would work for a small bag inside the purse? I am going to look at them when we go back in December!

I am not sure until I see them in person, I just thought the color would look nice with the bag, however I might go with the wristlet instead. I was thinking they might hold my sunglasses which I now have attached by the brown band inside. I have just a Disney sunglasses case in my purse now.. I thought the purple would look better!

So I am a little upset. I had 2 orders for 1 tote each. The first one placed at 3:35am on the 13th, the second at 3:37am. The first one shipped. The second one has been in active status since. I called yesterday ( before that I got "orders ship in 7-9 days") and was told it was shipping that day. Today when I called back with no shipping notification I was told they are out if stock and even though my order says I have one reserved, there are no more left. They are checking with the vendor now... That's kind of crummy! I believe others on this board ordered a tote after 3:37am and they received theirs. Beware.

Ahh, gotcha. But the purple printed 'bags' at the top and the bottom left are phone cases and ipad sleeves, and are heavily padded. Not sure you could fit anything in them other than their intended contents. The one in the box I believe is a cosmetic case and would work. They ARE pretty though!

And now that I'm looking at this picture, I'm regretting not buying the nail polish.. lol

As of yesterday uptown Jewelers at MK had totes, smith, crossbbody and wristlets. Took another look and may have reconsidered a purchase but the hang tag doesn't say haunted mansion anniversary like I had hoped it would. For those interested in purchasing maybe call disney merchandise direct (phone number for items you might have missed buying in the parks) and see if you can't buy the item from uptown.

I tried to do that for a different HM item and the CM told me that they were not allowed to sell *any* HM merch over the phone for the foreseeable future.

Smith. It has more 'stuff' on it.. pocket, hardware, etc. The tote is pretty light for its size.

I am using the wristlet as a wallet. It really all depends on how big of a wallet you are used to. I was using a Disney Dooney wristlet (the flap one) as a wallet already so it works well for me. It fits perfectly inside the tote. If you have a smaller bag, it might take up too much room.

I have a small credit card holder inside the wristlet which holds my cash and cards, DL etc. I like it because it will hold my phone and a lipstick. It's nice to have when you don't want to haul the big tote around.

What is that thing in the box with Madame Leota on it? Is that a cosmetic case? Does it come with make up in it?

I would really like a cosmetic case to match my tote! The case I am currently using is from the free clinique bonus and really doesn't match my tote at all.

Can the strap on the crossbody come off? Wondering if that could work kind of like a wallet for the tote.

Yes, on the cash/CC holder and iPhone. not sure about the keys. depends on how big/how many keys you have.

I will say that it is a tight squeeze with the phone. i have a lot of CC, so that takes up some room.

Now I kind of think it's too big for me. I think it's beautiful but I'm just NOT a big purse kind of girl. The base of the Smith is wider so sticks out a bit more your body than the tote. I love the "look" but have to be realistic on what I'll really use.

It may be finding a new home.

I too scored a Tote online but have wanted a Smith since they were announced last September. I actually like the Tote more than I expected to. It is really a lot prettier in person than the online pics. Now that the Smiths are getting a little easier to get, I am wondering if I still want one.

I joined a Facebook group. You basically upload a pic with your details (cost, shipping...) and wait for someone to initiate a transaction with you that you then close through PayPal. You can't charge more than what you paid plus shipping and PayPal fees. They have general discussion posts too. Not all of the post are sales. On Facebook, search for Disney Dooney & Bourke. It is a closed group so you have to wait for them to approve your request to join.

Well back from the DLR trip, and the Letter Carrier didn't fare so well. Flaking on all the corners and the front zipper popped off. We were just sitting there on a park bench, she stood up, and the zipper just fell off. The quality has seriously gone down on these Dooneys. The Original Smith was taken through hell and back and still looks factory fresh, but the letter carrier is only a few weeks old and has already started to fall apart. Seriously peeved at this.

Wow! What is up with these HM bags? Why is it so hard to get right? My Retro Disneyland tassel bag got me interested in D&B because the quality has been so good. If I wanted a bag where the color wore off and zippers broke, I'd spend $30 at Kohl's and at least it would last 6 to 12 months! I'd love the HM tote but guess it's good they are still hard to get. I'll just sit back and watch what more people say about the quality.
