New! Haunted Mansion-Inspired Dooney & Bourke Bag

As I have not been successful in snagging one of these bags, I may as well wait until the Fall and see all the different styles they offer.
Compared to the Smith bag, the tote looks a little plain :(
Now that I have decided to wait - I can sleep soundly every Sunday night not having to worry about waking up at 2am! :)
 
I could of picked up one of these bags on my trip last year, but I couldn't really afford it. So hopefully they will do a wristlet in the new range that I will be able to pick up. It won't be the same but it will be something. I'm glad Disney are finally realising that Haunted Mansion is one area that really can never have too much great merchandise!

Totally agree...too plain. I can't wait to see what other styles they introduce. Really hoping for a wallet!

I'd love a wallet, too. What I really like about the Smith bag are the outer pockets. Perfect size for my cell phone and charger. Or anything else I don't want to have to dig for. I sent my bag with the problematic flaking back last Saturday. I know it was received on Monday because I had tracking for it. Hopefully, they'll email or call me soon with options for replacement.
 

OMG. Forgive me for this crazy post, but I'm almost 40 and I've never felt this way before... I've finally found my purse. I mean, I've had purses before - $20 dollars from Target, $50 from Wilson Leather once, but those were just things to carry my wallet. This purse is different. It's just amazing!

Please tell me they'll make enough them so that when I arrive, a week after they release them, I can still buy one.

Editing to correct: In my fangirl squee moment I missed the difference between 'limited edition' and 'limited quantities available in the first order'. Still crossing my fingers that there's one left for me!

I normally hate logo bags and stuff, I have a kate spade that is literally white with nothing on it you can't tell anything if the logo isn't facing you.

This bag is really gorgeous, its damask done right. Super classy. Love it. Says it'll be online too later in the fall! Good luck, how pretty!
 
So I can't remember the person who received the green with red bag. But I received the same thing today
 
Call Dooney on Monday and let them know you are unhappy. When you call ask to speak to a manager and let them know you want them to pay to have the bag sent back and fixed. It's completely stupid that they would replace the bag with one that has a green suede lining.

When I called them about my crooked label they were very willing to fix or replace it for me.

Also, I really think that any one that has an issue with Dooney quality should contact Disney just so they know. That way if the issue is bad enough they will work with Dooney to improve.

Please let me know what Dooney said when you contacted them. Is it even worth my time to call them to ask why the heck they would do this?

I called Dooney when they sent me the green/red bag. The lady I talked to was VERY snotty about the whole thing. She acted like I was being ridiculous because they apparently use that green/red interior in some of their other non-Disney bags. She said to send it back with a note requesting a bag with a purple liner. She said they couldn't guarantee they'd be able to track down a purple one, but they would try. In my note that I sent with the purse, I asked for someone to call me before doing anything. No one ever called. They just sent me the purple-lined bag. They were also supposed to send me a refund for my shipping costs from when I sent back the original (red-lined) bag several months ago.....but I still haven't received that. Their customer service is pretty appalling.

That's terrible. As much as I'd like a wallet, this might be my last Dooney. The quality control was lacking and if the CS isn't up to snuff, I'll pass in the future. Who cares that other bags had the Xmas lining? You wanted the bag you paid for, not what they decided to give you.

I love the green, to be honest. It's the combo that I'm not sure about. I did check out the Dooney site after seeing your post. Wondering if I could learn to like it, too. It seems I'm not likely to get that call telling me what my options are... Also a tad concerned about whether it's a prototype that will have the same flaking problems.

That's good to know they take care of shipping it back at least the second time. But you should have had that other refund by now. Sad, because if they ever came out with an It's a Small World wallet, I'd love to get one.

After looking at the purse more I think it's a completely brand new purse what they prob did was take the reg D&B Smith bag design and add the HM to it. It has it's own registration card and everything. I'm gunna compare the item numbers tomorrow but I think it's brand new.
 
Anyone know what days Disney usually adds items to their site? Anyone heard rumors of dates for the new items?
 
Disney usually adds products and stock on Monday mornings around 2am. Just ask any of us sleep deprived people who have been trying to score this bag for months!

That's great if it's a new bag where they corrected the problems. I replied to the email I originally received, stating when I sent the bag back (according to USPs, it was delivered at Monday), and asking if I'd receive any confirmation they had the bag.
