Concerning the quest, Those of you asking for prizes please understand this: There are many of us who are very generous and love to share our prizes, however, this quest will be here for probably 3 weeks tops. Which means I will have 1 chance to get the quest on my AP. So if you are not gifted the item or cannot trade for it please understand it is because we are limited as to how many we can get. This game is all about the stuff and boy do they have us all hooked! I know I am fortunate to live near the park, I am sorry for those who can't get there but please do not beg us for items when it is clear that we might not be able to get extras.
Here here Lady! I said the same thing eariler... I'll only be able to get 1 of these cards... Though I will visit the parks at least 2 times during the quest period, AP only lets me get one per 90 days. I will try to ask strangers for help. I've never done that before, but I hear of other VMK friends who do that quite successfully... Of course they were mothers who had kids and those tend to get better reception than some 34-year-old, single, childless man asking... Heh. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a weirdo (ok, I *am* a weirdo), I really am quite likeable (so I'm told ;) ), but, well... you can imagine. Hahaha :rotfl: Rather - you decide - here's me with the Evil Queen back in June...

Would you help this man get VMK cards? Hahahaha! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Well, since I'm not going to any parks until October of NEXT year, I'm
resigned to not getting this....or perhaps trading a gold snowman for it.

And Goofy_Bob, there's nothing wrong with a grown man wearing Mickey
ears asking a family or 12 to get the VMK quest cards for him. (Hint hint...)

(And there's nothing wrong with being a single, childless 30-something who
likes to go to Disney, either!)

I just want to add to these comments that many people post requests that include, "If anyone is kind enough to get me...," "Is anyone nice out there willing...," etc... followed by a request for a specific park quest item.

The staff at VMK Central is VERY specific about giving out 1 reward per park ticket. They have to scan the park ticket into their computer system before they are able to issue the reward cards.

Please understand that many of us would love to "pick up an extra" to share with every single one of our VMK friends and then some extras to give out to whomever wants them. However, the quest cards are just not that easy to get. They truly are 1 per person per ($50+) ticket. Or once per 90 days period for an annual pass. It's not that we are not "nice enough" to get you one (as many have stated). It's simply that we can't get you one.

Thank you for understanding our position in being unable to get "extras" that everyone seems to imply we can easily "pick up."

Yes sure there are many people that are disappointed about this being a Disneyland Exclusive Quest, and you can't get it at WDW... Well just think about it for a minute. You at least get the quest items from WDW. What about the people (Like Me and Many Others) that can't even go to any Disney Parks to get items..

We'll do our best to get extras for our east and great white north friends when down at the end of the month for HalloweenTime - our first time there during October :thumbsup2

Cute pumpkin, but I'd rather have it on the floor than as a lamp.

Bob, if you came up to me and asked me for help with the cards.... I'd give you anything you needed ;)

Seriously, I fully understand. We have passes for WDW also and even though we go a lot, we are under the 90 day thing also. Are there any quests besides the Pirate one at WDW that you can get without having to show your pass/ticket?

I'm also resolved to not getting the pumpkin. There are just some things that aren't feasible. Resolving myself to not getting the pumpkin is a lot cheaper than buying a plane ticket from Tampa to LA. :thumbsup2

I completely agree; just look at my location for heavens sake. I understand why those of you who live near WDW would be disappointed but try and be grateful for what you have! I went to DLR for the first time about four years ago and my parents said that we would never be going again, and there are lots of other people out there who have never been.

Just something to think about...

those questions are difficult, anyone have any idea of them problem is i never been to dlr lol

I guess with all the complaining about this quest, nobody has any of the answers yet. Living close does not make it any easier to get there for some of us. DLR is 5 blocks away from me, but I don't get to go every day. They make it so that even when you can go you only get to get the prizes once every 90 days. So extra's are very difficult to come by as well...

Just my 2 cents on the matter. :rose:

I'm disappointed that it is only at Disneyland. I want one. :(

Thanks for the kind words. :teeth: I think my head is going to asplode. :goodvibes

But a family of 12? Heh, I was going to try something smaller... approaching a family of 3 or 4... then maybe working up to 12! LOL :rotfl:

I may make it to DLR on Friday or Sunday, but doubtful. Will definitely be going Tuesday 10/17 and Mon-Wed 10/30-11/01. So I'm getting my card for sure... we'll see how I do getting extras...

(Just so I don't get any hopes up... I do have VMK friends for whom I naturally need to get the cards first... Heh, and I now need to try and get extra extras for Briar and Since ;) . I'll try, but no promises. :confused3 )

So seriously - Does anyone have any suggestions of what to say to people? I mean I'm not shy... but what sort of thing would you recommend I say to get them to let me borrow their tickets or get them to walk up to VMK Central w/Quest in hand and give me the resulting card? Anyone have any success stories they could share?

Thanks for the pic Ash. That post just doesn't look natural with that Pumpkin. It's not pictured on the card... It looks as though the pumpkin is setting on a post from one of the new Movie Rewards Entertainment Center items, doesn't it?

I hope the Pumpkin doesn't come on that post... :scratchin

I, as one of the single thirtysomething set, totally agree! :thumbsup2
