New free dining offer yeaaah

I posted this on another thread but saw the action on this thread and wanted to repost.

I plan on coming in on Nov 12 and I have already booked. If this deal is actually going to release, would I have to book a separate reservation for the 12th if the deal starts on the 13th? Or would I just pay the difference for the one day of dining that isn't covered in the discount dates. Thanks

I'm booked November 12 - 19 with the 35% off room only PIN from early spring. The PIN had the same blackout dates as this rumored free dining offer and I did have to book just a room on the 12th and she had to go to a completely different system to book the PIN reservation. Now, I'm not sure if that was because it was a PIN or not. A public offer might be different.

OH I certainly hope this is not JUST a rumor...! We are going to Disney the first week of December with our now grown kids. The last time we went was when I was pregnant with our oldest 27 years ago, so does anyone else think this trip is L O N G O V E R D U E?

Thank you so much for posting! I shall keep my hopes up until we hear for sure!

I've been with this thread from the beginning and every time I come here it's like deja vu all over again. Tiffany, I don't know how you can keep answering the same questions over and over and over.

Don't forget folks this is still just a rumor and even if it has been confirmed by Meg Crofton herself it doesn't start until August 3rd. Calling now is like resisting the Borg; futile.

Do you have include park tickets with this offer or can you just book a room? Thanks!

I don't sleep much :-) Never have, I've been a bit of an insomniac for years.

And, actually, I do have my own Disney Trip Planning Service, so I was answering a lot of questions on my page yesterday also :-)

Neat! Will you PM me the link so I can look at it? Thanks!

But didn't you know? If they call now instead of waiting until the 3rd, then they will be one of the lucky few that Disney throws the rule books out for and books them the discount. :lmao:

I hope this question has not been asked, if so, please feel free to direct to the correct thread. When a discount offer comes out, do they have a certain number of rooms allocated for each resort or is it so many rooms in the different room categories. I hope this makes sense... For example, is Resort A allocated X number of discounts, regardless of the room category, or are so many discounts for standard, so many for "preferred", etc...Thanks in advance

To purchase the Disney Dining Plan or to apply a free dining discount, you have to be booked at a Disney owned resort wih a Magic Your Way Package that includes room, tickets and dining. If you are not booked with a MYW package you can not even purchase the DDP, let along apply the FD discount.

Just anal, I guess :thumbsup2

Don't know if this helps but last year when the code came out, we had already book a water view room and had to switch to a non-preferred room for the PIN to apply. We were staying at POFQ.

This answers my question. We are booked for POFQ, with a riverview room, so we may have to change room categories, but if it means getting FD, it will be worth it for sure. Thanks for you input :thumbsup2

Tiffany, it's very kind what your doing! I'm sure people are freaking out all over the country, me I'm not even in the country and I had a moment of eeeep! when I decided I just might want to get in on this. So you're calming a lot of anxious souls out there :goodvibes!!

Great....free dining...now instead of a nice relaxing vacation..the restaurants will be packed and I'll have to wait for every ADR like last year (55 minutes at Le Celliar).

Argh....I hate free dining.

Sorry!!!

Me, too! We are going 9-29 to 10-5. I tried this am to get a ressie (just to see if I can) and I couldn't get it. I would think that even if FD does happen, people are going to have a hard time getting ressies. I like low crowds much better!!!

"While I don't think all of the info on that thread is 100% accurate I'm confident we will see a free dining promotion released next week.

I would put my money on seeing it come out on 8/3."

Wonder if it has something to do with the blackout dates. Just a guess.

or maybe the part about the memory book or even just the "codes" themselves

You're welcome :-) I just keep popping in and out between laundry loads and planning Disney trips :-) We are leaving for Disney in leass than a week to celebrate our oldest daughter's b-day! Even though it's going to be hotter than blue blazes, I can't wait. We don't typically go in August, in fact never because we like the fall and winter so much, but she has been asking for years to go on her birthday and I got a FD pin for that week, so, heat or not, we are going :-)

Totally OT, but everytime I see your sig pics I have the same thought...

How in the heck do you get your oldest daughter to still wear those adorable matching boutique dresses and bows? My dd12 looks at me like I have 2 heads when I force her into them to match her brothers at Christmas and Easter!:sad2:

I constantly hear people complain that they are sick of the FreeDDP promo because they can never get an ADR. Can someone explain this one to me? :confused3 Because we went last year during the FreeDDP promo and never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table. I even called 2 days prior to one of our TS meals and canceled, then asked for an ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern (One of the many places people gripe about being packed) and I got an ADR for the time I wanted. So where is all of the irritation here coming from? I for one love the FreeDDP promo and hope they keep doing it. And it always saves us around $1300. So bring the FreeDDP on!! That's an extra $325 per person in spending money for us.

Did they change this?? Or did the CM not know what she was talking about last year? I called and asked if we could get the FreeDDP for the whole trip even if only 3 of our days were during the time frame for the discount and I was told no. She said that any days outside of the discount time frame were not included in the discount and had to be paid for.

This has always been the same. It's not out of the realm of possibility that the CM didn't know. Or that maybe she misunderstood. Stop looking at it in terms of how many of your days are within the plan. The entire thing is based on your CHECK-IN date. If that date is included in the promotion, you can have it for your ENTIRE stay, up to 14 days max.

We are checking in on the 10th, but the promotion blacks out the 10th and doesnt' start again until the 11th. That's why we'll do a room only the first night, followed by a second reservation, this one with a package with a check-in date of the 11th, which IS part of the promotion. From there, I can have up to 14 days (I WISH we could stay that long!) regardless of when the last day of the promotion is.

I hope that is clear.
