New free dining offer yeaaah

SIAP/Asked.

I saw the difference b/t upgrading from free QSD to DDP. Does anyone have a number for the difference per day per person from QSD to the regular dining? We are staying at ASM in the family suites and are trying to decide whether to stay there and upgrade the dining or upgrade the resort and just do regular dining. We'd be upgrading to a deluxe villa for the extra living areas (traveling with 4 adults and an almost 2 year old).

TIA :)

$10 for an adult (I'm assuming standard pricing...not their "premium time frame" pricing).

NOTHING for kids (it's exactly the same price).

You won't get the mugs with the DDP, though...so if those are important to you, you'll need to buy 'em separately.

Make SURE the deluxe villas are offering the free DDP. I think that, in years past, those have been some of the resort/categories that get excluded from the deals (the DVC villas, being "rented" for cash, via CRO). I'm not SURE of that..but it tickles something in my brain.

I have been a card holder since 2007 and the only email i ever receive is the one saying " your bill is ready to be viewed online " :rotfl2: pixiedust to all for free dining tomorrow! :wizard:

I get THAT one from Chase, directly (like I get one for scheduling a payment).

The vacation discounts, theater ticket discounts, etc all come from Disney Rewards.

Different email addys.

All of the upgrade differences are listed in on page 45, post #666.

Sorry if this this is a repost, but if I am correct after reading your post that the difference in the cost of upgrading from QS to deluxe (staying at a value resort) dinning, would be $44.00 per adult and $10.00 per child per day.Of course this is if their check in day is still one of the ones that was from the first post. They already are booked at a value for 6 nights,7 days and already have upgraded to the deluxe dinning but they should only have to pay the difference between QS and deluxe if the free dinning is during their stay.Any help would be great.Thanks.
I think you posted this a few pages back and I answered, but the thread is moving so fast you probably just missed it :-)

Yes, your numbers and info are correct.

I've asked several questions and they have been answered! I reallu appreciate all the help.

We are staying at the cabins. Has anyone ever did the split reservations? Had to check in for one day then check out the next day and check back in? When can you check out and check back in? I'm assuming check in isn't until 3pm so where can we put our bags if they can't check us into the same cabin? I'm somewhat worried due to the fact that if I had split reservations... the check out and check in day will be difficult due to the amount of reservations we have at one park for that day including MNSSHP that night. This is our 4th year at the Halloween party and we are at the park from 8p to at least 12a. So, we do not schedule a time back at the park. I hate pulling away to check back in. :confused3

Ditto...ours had the mickey logo originally (now the castle).

All the emails come from "Disney Rewards"...though I think the email addy has changed a bunch of times over the years.

I wonder why I get them and others don't? I just always assumed EVERYONE got them...SOME other people must get them, I'd assume, or how would the codes get out?

Well, if I see one tonight, I'll be sure to post.

I've never received one.

Donna

If, by chance, you have to change rooms/cabins under a continuing, split stay reservation and your new room/cabin isn't ready, your resort's guest/bell services will store your luggage and put them in your room when it is ready. We actually had to do that one time and it worked out fine.

If you had to guess, would you say the rumored dates are pretty well set? I am already booked for Dec. 22. I assume I will miss out on FD. :headache:

My point exactly, i have never received an email from Disney Rewards! i didn't know about theatre ticket discounts until you just posted it. I wonder what else i'm missing out on? :headache:

PrincessTiffany-

Thank you!!! I really appreciate your help and you are amazing answering all the questions even though they may be repeats!!! :worship:

i have all my numbers and info written out and ready to go for 6am in the morning. good luck to everyone and i hope it's announced tomorrow for our sakes!:yay:

Yes, that is correct. You would have to check in by December 17 to apply the FD discount for your reservation.

I tend to believe the dates are probably wrong. Sun-Sat just doesn't make sense. You'd have tons of people trying to adjust their reservation by 1 day. You'd end up giving this big discount to tons of Thanksgiving Week guests.

With that in mind, IF (BIG IF) the dates were to follow last year's patterns, then I believe that the 22nd would be the last check-in date to get free dining.

(Most Christmas guests would be checking in on the 23rd or 24th)

In 2008, 2009 and 2010, they allowed FD check ins until about December 21/22, thereby giving guests the ability to apply a FD discount to their entire stay, up to 14 nights, over the Chrirstmas/New Year's time frame, which is the single most busy and expensive week of the entire year at WDW. So, it's possible and not surprising that Thanksgiving guests might be able to do the same thing this year.

Just want to give PrincessTiffany a big "THANK YOU" for answering my question (and my repost).I always like to see if my figures are correct before FD starts. Thanks again.
