New FP system, dumb, repetitive and admittedly lazy question

I know this has been covered every which way from Sunday, but I'm totally being lazy and posting this as a "new" question.

We are flying down to Orlando on the 31st, staying at Pop Century before boarding the Fantasy on the 1st. If all goes well and our flight is on time getting into Orlando, our plan is to spend Friday at Epcot.

We have our magic bands, but have not bought tickets, just in case we are delayed and don't end up with time to go to a park. So no advanced fast passes set up.

My question is how does it now work once we get into the park, can we still get fast passes or do we have to set them up through the app? I've used the "old" system to great effect, but am clueless about how this all works now, especially for a single day visit.

Again, I apologize for beating this horse to death again.

You can get "day-of" FP+ (3, total) at a kiosk inside the park.

When you go to any kiosk (there are several throughout all 4 parks,) you choose any 3 available FP+ attractions and return times, and those are your FP's for the day.

Awesome!!! Thanks!!!

Do you get a print out or is it somehow attached to your ticket? We have old non-expiry tickets we plan on using on our next trip. We're not sure if we'll stay onsite or off, so I don't know if we'd have magic bands.

You could take a photo of the FP+ Kiosk screen

Having Magic Bands and a Resort stay could they not also like to MDE and select FP+ on their phone? I don't know that it'd be any more convenient than the kiosks but it might avoid a line. Just curious.

If they take their smart phones, have the app, make sure everything (once the tickets are purchased) is connected up on their MDE account, sign in and do it... yes.

You can't select them unless and until you have a park ticket attached to MDX. The OP is indicating that they are not going to purchase tickets until they arrive.

Once they have a ticket attached they could certainly book them on the phone app if they are able to use it.

Right. With some of the stories about long lines at kiosks I wondered if this might be quicker. I have not witnessed the kiosks in action yet. Then again, working with the MDE app comes with it's own headaches!
