New form of Cheating in Ship Battle?

So... my teammate was accused of "Stay and Shoot"?

I asked this accuser and she said that it was staying in one place and shooting. Now, I take this with a grain of salt as I played with this accuser in the previous game, and she did not take kindly to my sportsmanship (congradulating the other team on a brilliant win).

So, DIS-ers out there, remember this common rule!

Please don't stay in place and shoot the other team: it doesn't let the other team win, and that's not fair.

I don't see the problem. Frankly, I'm thrilled if the other side doesn't move. If I don't manage to shoot them, the sea creature will gladly have it's way with the ship. Either way, they're going down easy.

Nope, 'cause that would mean it would have to make sense. Sitting on the Flag is quite respected in these circles.

I think it should be illegal for all those people to continue heading straight towards me while I am sitting and shooting... they are looking to go boom in my book...

Um... Pirates... there is no cheating... although I am not fond of those that go up and hide while their friends do the dirty work, only coming out when they have too.... I also beleive sitting ON the flag is rude, those who feel they have no other way to protected it, do it (meaning they must be a lousy shot and are riding on the coatails of others to earn their credits for them) If that is the way they chose to play, and so so so many of you do... I will stick to battle where all is fair in love and WAR!!!!!

I personally have no problem with Sit and Shoot. 1: You can Sit and Shoot them back. 2: If you just stay out of the way, the Kraken will just attack them.

And I'm lovin' your avatar/location. Good Dark Riku is my hero. To fight in darkness, I needed to immerse myself in darkness... I just love the Kingdom Hearts II story (and I don't even own a PS2, so I've never played! )

But they gave it an official name! As opposed to "you cheated" they threw out an official name!

Official name? Probably someone in the beggining had a tantrum about losing, made up a name for it, and it caught on. I wouldn't call that official. I find people who complain about stuff like that are simply sore losers.

It figures. I was just in a game and a person who has been a member from day one started saying she'd report one of my team mates. First she said "that's cheap" then she said "it doesn't show you're good if you beat a fast ship" yet she didn't give any reason that could possibly be reported. I was there, he did nothing but help win.

After reading all the posts, that girl in the first post is just quite plainly a very sore loser; just like many of you have already said. Next thing you know if you do not shoot or grab the flag first and win; then you are a cheater.

I agree with that! Sitting on the flag is just plain 'roof'! It is my biggest pirate pet peeve!
