"New" Fantasmic Dessert Package?!?

Hey, there! I found out here and from DL that the Fantasmic Dessert package (I'm not sure of the official name...) was changing a bit this month....I think the 16th.

Will some one post a review of it if and when you go? I am thinking of splurging for my and my friends birthday presents (as if treating myself to DL isn't enough!)

I believe that I should or am only able to book our seats for Fantasmic 30 days in advance? Is that right or is it 60?

It looks like we will be in DL at the same time.
We arrive August 24th and leave August 31st. This will be our biggest family vacation yet and we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary while we are there.

I am celebrating my 30th BD on the 27th when we arrive and my friend will be a mere 28 two weeks after, so it's our birthday trip! We are staying until the 31st, too. I haven't been to DL since a one day visit in 96, and she's never been there at all, so it'll be a new, fun trip for us! (We are leaving our significant others at home....girls only for this one!)

I am a bit worried of the crowds, however. We were planning on going in mid Sept, but I wasn't all that happy with the refurb schedule, and I really want to get the full experience again!

Can't wait.

It's 30 calendar days (i.e., want to go for August 31 you must call on or after July 31), the no. is (714) 781-4400. I just made my reservation for July 31 on June 30th. Its a $47 flat rate pp and now the seating is in the order of purchase, no need to be there more than 15 minutes before because your seats are already reserved. HTH!

The only change I have heard about is the one that msr709 mentioned about the "assigned" seating, though this has been happing for a little while. Your seating is based on when you make your reservation not by when you show up.

I guess we will have to wait unti someone posts after going to the package next week to see if there are indeed any "changes" to it. Unless someone calls and asks.

Okay I have a couple of answers. You can make reservation 1 month in advance for example if you want a reservation for
August 25 you call July 25.

The only things that have changed are:

The Balcony seating - you are seated in the order that you reserve your tickets - there are 21 per show only. Your credit card is charged on the day you make your reservation and a refund will only be issued if it circumstances beyond Disney's control (ie. rain, wind, technical diff).

They have a ground level water side section to the left infront of the third (of three) water screens that serves a prepackaged assortment of desserts in a gift box $47 for Adult $37 for kids.
These seats are issued on a first come first served when you get to the section (not by the ticket purchased).

So far they only have the schedule to the end of August (one month in advance)-for September they will have schedule in August, for October they will have schedule in September etc.
