Ok, I have decided I am going to sell my family and would like to get a new family. New family must be as Disney crazy as I am and absolutely be nuts about animals..dogs specifically.

If you are such a person, you will enjoy the benefits of 1-2 time a year trips with my DVC purchase to disney for about a week or so at a time

I dont want to hear any complaints that the trip is too long.
You must enjoy going around the garden festival time. Any other not too crowded season i am also happy to fit in.

If you are a kid, you must not destroy things at our house, keep your room in semi picked up shape and put your laundry away. you can earn disney dollars if you do extra chores

In return, I am happy to get you extra snacks while on our trip, let you hang out at typhoon lagoon or DQ and I will ride most rides with you

If you are going to play the part of my husband or partner, I dont want any moans or groans how I spend my money and whether or not my vacation to disney is wasted money.
You need to be able to pretend that characters are real and every now and then act silly..wear mickey mouse ears or something. You must be willing to sleep late or get up early as the crowd dictates and how we are feeling on the trip.
If you can handle these things. i would like to add you as my new family :wizard: I am open to modifying the trip to fit your disney wishes as well :cloud9:

:grouphug:

Have you approached your present family with the ad? How about solo trips?

one cant change the wind..it is what it is

as far as solos, i would go with just my mom or one kid who wants to go, but my husband's job doesnt give him enough time off to stay home and watch any kids and my kids are such i cant just leave them with babysitters, they would eat the babysitters alive

Most my kids like and want to go, but I am miffed at them this week so venting here. One ds(mentally handicapped) decided it was a great idea to pop not one, not 2 but 12 tires ranging from our riding mower up to our farm truck. he popped them in such a way they will need new tires, not just repairs. i estimate about $1,000 damage there and that doesnt include other things he has destroyed..that has got to tally in a few thousand range. He doesnt even do it because he is mad or tantruming, he just likes to be 'the hulk" and show how strong he is

My other ds in his wisdom has destroyed some cords and such we use to keep dog houses heated in the winter, I need to replace those today :sad2:

My dd is a nightmare to have on a trip. she takes meds for her SN , she can go from a sweet wonderful kid, to a tantruming nut in about 20 seconds or less. bad when the disney daycare service doesnt want your kid back :scared1:

My other son who doesnt have problems is becoming a teenager..need I say more? :sad2:
he likes disney, he doesnt like disney during the garden festival..he likes sept and no crowds

So, i figure there has to be some disney lovers here that would love to dream about leaving their disney unloving family home and go with folks who are in agreement :dance3:

I'm in. I'm willing to switch teams for you. I can also contibute a 7 year old boy. He enjoys frequent disney trips, long walks on the beach and a good cup of coffee. Both he and I are willing to work for snacks and Disney dollars. I simply ask that I be allowed a carmel apple per day (including arrival and departure day) and no complaining because the apple is not an approved snack.

Love the dog! :goodvibes

Well, maybe we can adopt you to our family. Luckily I have my Disney family, and all new members coming into the family have to pass muster. It is a deal breaker if you won't at least try to like Disney...fake it if you really love that family member. No rolling of the eyes or sighing, just grin like a silly goose and endure all of us having still another family birthday meal at Disneyland.

Passing along some Disney magic and little bit of pixie dust :wizard: to get through this frustrating time.

LOL..not an approved snack. guess what last 2 trips we went with NO DDP!! and we ate what we wanted, where we wanted and used the TIW card and still had a great time!! I will even let you have an carmel extra apple for breakfast if you like , long as I can have my choc pastries with no one looking over my shoulder:thumbsup2

I'm in...I have a DH who is the eye rolling type, but we have been married for a while now and he is getting used to it. I have two daughters, who just want to ride the tea cups (very easy to please). Ready for duty!

Give me a turkey leg or two and a few frozen cokes and I'm in. However, I can no longer ride Tower of Terror, my stomach can't handle it any more. Wait a minute, maybe its the turkey legs and frozen cokes causing the problem not the ride? Oh well, I will suffer in silence for you.

I'm in. I'm a dog lover. (I have to be, it's part of the job description when your a veterinarian). I love the Flower and Garden fest, and I rarely complain at Disney unless it involves leaving the parks too soon because the rest of the family is crabby.

We should start an extended Disney family and go when our regular families are being party poopers.

Gee, I hope my dh doesn't see this. :sad1:
I'm going to really miss him.

PS, In case he does reply, I have to make him put the laundry away.

I am sorry you are having a really bad day! :grouphug: I have had days like that too.

We would love to join your family! We can pool our DVC points! Besides some points at VWL, I can offer a couple of mouse loving kids - My ds (10)literally wears mouse ears the entire trip except for at the pool. My DD (8) believes in fairies and loves to meet the characters.

Does your dog like other dogs? We have a dog, but she is small and likes to nap a lot.

I hope your family appreciates you.

Mmmm..you sound like the best choice! I could always use a vet in the family!

now, to add a few of these cool kids people have here.
Maybe a few more adults, so we can have Disney parties as we go along.
Turkey legs for everyone!! :cheer2:

PICK US!!!!! PICK US!!!!!! We will learn to like the dog! Even our very small cat will learn to like the dog! :grouphug:

we have a lot of dogs. i am afraid my passion next to disney is dogs. We do rescue and we raise dogs.
But all our dogs are doggie social. The dogs dont bother the house cats. I have 3 of those ;)

Frozen cookies? what are they? you mean the icecream sandwhich things they make with cookies?:confused3

You guys are all funny. I like the extended Disney family idea... My family is all still crazy about Disney but we could add you to ours as an extended version. And, yes, we love dogs. Unfortunately, my husband did tell me that, no, I could not have another Golden Retriever yesterday, though, when somebody at work was GIVING one away. ??? He said we have enough mouths to feed right now and there is no more room on the bed anyway! Hmph. Oh well. Good luck getting your immediate family back on track!!

Great post!!!
I had to tell you that everything you posted about things you love, are the exact same for me!

I have to say that I am lucky enough to have an entire family who is at least as Disney crazed as I am. And DH surprised me with our GCV add-on by urging me to "up" the points an additional 30 "just-in-case."

I think at that moment I realized how incredibly lucky I am, and how incredibly happy I was to have married so well :lmao:

Oh I hate to admit I was the eye-roller myself over 30 years ago. I didn't appreciate all the effort it took to get the six of us plus dog plus cat down to Fort Wilderness every year. My dad would sing "It's a Small World" in a crazy voice while we waited in line for rides. Always during Christmas or Easter, so there was a lot of waiting and a lot of singing. Now I am the silly one and have to take my family 2x a year. (This year 3x!) I caught myself pretending the tram ride from Hollywood Studios to the parking lot was a "real" ride, and I was whooping and hollering with my hands in the air. My 8-year-old was mortified.

I think your family will look back on your craziness and remember all these trips as some of the best times of their lives. Then they will be the silly ones with their own families - It's just the circle of life! Keep having fun, you are in good company.
