New Family Wanted

It sounds to me that you need a week away. I know where you are coming from. I have a handicapped brother I care for and sometimes I really need some quiet time. I love animals but own DVC so I don't need a new family but I hope you feel better now that you vented. Keep the faith, it will get better, I promise! I am lucky my family, all adults with children, still love our disney trips. If fact we have 3 new little ones and can't go this year. We have all said it will be so sad not going this year. Oh well, we will be there next year!

Ok, I have decided I am going to sell my family and would like to get a new family. New family must be as Disney crazy as I am and absolutely be nuts about animals..dogs specifically.

If you are such a person, you will enjoy the benefits of 1-2 time a year trips with my DVC purchase to disney for about a week or so at a time

I dont want to hear any complaints that the trip is too long.
You must enjoy going around the garden festival time. Any other not too crowded season i am also happy to fit in.

If you are a kid, you must not destroy things at our house, keep your room in semi picked up shape and put your laundry away. you can earn disney dollars if you do extra chores

In return, I am happy to get you extra snacks while on our trip, let you hang out at typhoon lagoon or DQ and I will ride most rides with you

If you are going to play the part of my husband or partner, I dont want any moans or groans how I spend my money and whether or not my vacation to disney is wasted money.
You need to be able to pretend that characters are real and every now and then act silly..wear mickey mouse ears or something. You must be willing to sleep late or get up early as the crowd dictates and how we are feeling on the trip.
If you can handle these things. i would like to add you as my new family :wizard: I am open to modifying the trip to fit your disney wishes as well :cloud9:

Marry me and we can combine our points!

I love dogs and Disney. I have a DH that at the end of the trip always can't wait to go home. I just don't get it. However he does love pictures with the Princesses and TinkerBell so I forgive him. I have DS (6) and DD (almost 3). DS and DD can be pains so we can leave them home and take you instead.

We are DVC members too.

Would you like to adopt a 40 yr old....:rotfl:

Love animals.....spend more time on the disboards than work...lol and can name any disney restaurant at any resort or park...lol

I like this idea....and since we technically still love our own crazy families, maybe we can work out a rental plan! myself and 2 kids who love Disney would like to swap dad out for vacations at WDW....:rotfl2: then we can swap back at everyones convenience!:rotfl:

I love this idea!!!!! I am lucky to have a DH who loves WDW as much as I do. I also am a dog lover. I am the proud Dog-Mom of 2 Shelties. We just bought into DVC lst year, so I have had "extra" points to play with this year. Going forward, it doesn't seem as though 200 are enough...

I am going solo to the f&g festival this year, :sad1: I' ll be happy to join your new family.

You can adopt us or we can adopt you :goodvibes Disney and dogs (I show Golden Retrievers) are my two great loves. DH loves both and "gets" the Disney obsession. We are going during F&G too. We have no kids to bring to the table but are able to borrow some nephews if necessary.

I can simpathize, just returned from Disney, 5 days at SSR w/ DS(13) and friends.
DS(13) has just discovered "girls", he no longer likes DQ, wouldn't ride anything in Fantasy Land. :sad1:
All of a sudden his only concerns are his hair and what he's wearing. :confused3

Of course, I still love Mickey Bars, It's a small World, Peter Pan, the Parades, the Fire Works. Invasion of the Body Snatchers, what have you done with my Disney loving son! :scared1:

It was such a strange, different kind of a trip!

Pickles, what are you doing 1st week of June, I need someone fun to pal around with!

I'd love to join you! My 2 kids are now teens and have decided that WDW is just OK. They will still go, but I can't get them to get excited by anything Disney anymore. DH was only ever in it for the trips to ESPN Zone, so I am the lonely Disnut in my family too. I survive by listening to the podcasts while making dinner, checking out Disney websites, and hearing the wonderful trip reports of Disney vacations given by my 3rd grade students at school. I really do miss having my little kids when it comes to Disney! They outgrew it, but I never will!

:hippie:

I would like to replace me with a more youthful version of me. Then, I would like to take my grumpy old personality and replace it with my youthful, we are the world, personality. Oh well, can't do either...

I'm fairly grumpy myself. Maybe we can swap our grumpy personalities. It would seem like a new, better version of ourselves because our perspectives on how to achieve ultimate grumpism would change.

I have BLT points to offer up. Forget about families, I say. Too much work there. Let's put together a group of us moms that are tired (at least for a little while of our families and take off! :lmao:

My bags are packed and ready to go whenever you say!!!. My DH is a Disney nut also, but if you will only take one of us..sorry honey, but I am out of here :rotfl2:. We are leaving April 23rd-May2nd for the F&G

I am willing to leave my life as a 6th grade teacher and join your family. My students make me sing happy songs in my head all day long, just to keep me from screaming!:lmao: I have 2 kids, both Disney crazy, a dog (boxer) and a cat. Boxer loves other dogs and the cat loves other dogs! :lmao: I will have to leave the husband at home, he is an eye-roller!
