With Disney's Uber-like service to start in the near-future, will the Express Transportation remain as is?

I've got to see the pricing on the uber service. On one hand I could see it priced similar to Uber. On the other, I can see WDW charging a premium so I think thats going to dictate alot.

I think it goes back to what convenience are you paying for. Express busses let you avoid walking to the front of the park and avoiding security but Uber allows you to leave on your schedule, have more flexibility with where you go and where you go from but you still have to walk to the front of the park and go through security. I think both offerings could be beneficial depending on why someone was trying to use them.

That's not cool! They aren't providing the service when people need it the most! During the 1/2!!!
True but they never ruin it during a marathon, even a half
The traffic is too bad, they are not sure the buses can't get through to stay on schedule

I don't know how you could disagree with so many empty seats. If the majority saw the value the majority would use it, which they don't
Respectfully, you can only speak for yourself with this claim.
Many guests do not have park hoppers, so cannot use this service.
Many guests take mid-day breaks and head to a second park from their resorts, not from a park.
Many guests are not aware of its existence.
Even all the "many" guests may not add up to much, due to the likelihood of overlap. Only Disney knows how successful the option is. The company appears to be satisfied, given that they've extended it beyond the trial period and increased the price.
It may seem reasonable to you but most resort guests cant get to the bus stop on time in the morning with much less going on.
There is no "on time" for resort buses. They come about every 20 minutes, sometimes less frequently based on traffic. In addition, there is much more going in the morning in one's resort room that would affect getting to the bus "on time", than once inside a park.
There are many people who already don't like having to plan ADRS, FP,s etc but do so so far in advance and relish any it of spontaneity possible. While it may seen quit reasonable to be able to pass on things to make that bus departing at 4:10 pm it can also seem quite reasonable to jump on space mt with a 10 min wait after it reopens from a mid day closure, wait on grammy who had a tough time in the bathroom, take an extra 5 minutes ata dance party etc.
Did you mean relinquish?
Anyway, with a minimum of fifteen trips daily, on a published schedule, with an actual 30 minute interval, the availability of the Express Service really doesn't play into any lack of spontaneity. If you're not done with Space Mountain by 4 PM, simply don't expect to be on the 4:10 bus.

It's not for everyone; clearly it's not for you.

I think it will. The rideshare service won't have inside the parks access like Express does. On the other hand, it will appeal to guests going resort to resort, or places that require a bus change (water parks), or which don't have direct bus access (mini-golf), or even the gas station for groceries.

They are selling more and more of these. We saw an increase in use from our Jan trip to this one. By quite a lot. We had about 10 folks on a mid day bus from AK to Epcot yesterday. There was always at least someone else on our buses. Now, is it up enough to make money? I have no idea but it is up. Plus we saw people buying it each time we checked in.

I think the odds of this being oversold is slim too, because of the way it runs. There are so many buses running to each park that it would be quite a lot to line up so that enough guests wanted the same bus to the same park at the same time. Possible but small odds. I believe that's why if that did happen it would be no problem for them to call a 2nd bus. It's just not going to happen often at all

We used this service in March and it was amazing. I have a question we didn't use it for Epcot but want to for our trip next month. Can someone explain exactly where the location is inside Epcot?

I didn't read thru all post. Is this offered for Annual passholders? Pay for it via MDE or other?

I wanted to let everyone know of an issue I had with Express Transportation today (Thursday 2/2). I wanted to go from MK to EP on the 1140 bus. I had purchased 7 days of express last Friday (1/27)at about 1100. When the CM scanned by band, it came up that I was not eligible and no longer had express transportation. After some discussion, the CM stated that computer system deactivates express on day 7 at the time of purchase on day 1. They did let me on the bus, but I pointed out that this is really then only 6 days of transportation. They were able to look up that I purchased it and let me on the bus with no problems other than a slight delay. The CM stated that the program was still a pilot with bugs, but I will follow up with feedback to Disney.

The message is to keep track of when you bought and have them either give you a receipt or email a receipt. The CM asked for either, neither of which I had since they can't print a receipt at purchase and I declined the email.

Wondering if they fixed this 7day glitch yet?

I would be curious to know the same. Can anyone who's used express recently comment? Thanks!!

So one point I'm not sure I've seen discussed, but thought about a few times since using (and LOVING!) this service last week (tues-sat)....Another great thing about Express Transportation tickets...they don't follow that rule of "all people in a room must have identical packages" ! Travelling with littles and a grandparent, and they won't want to use it? Awesome, maybe they go nap and others in the party get to hop around faster!
I 100% cannot say enough great things about this service. I'll post some pictures and info from our epic 4 park challenge last week soon :)

also noting that a lot of routes are closed and/or thus rerouted for the actual races. They have lots of personnel to move and clear out before opening said back roads again. Even on the 5K (which was done before RD), we ran literally through the Epcot Express Transportation loading area, which was fun for DS11 to recognize b/c we'd used it so many times lol! So some of the exact routes can't really have buses running while runners are running....

if you're looking at spaceship earth's queue and bathrooms are behind you, it's down to the right of those bathrooms...if that helps. but I see PP put a map

That's true! I just came back from a trip with my two sisters. Myself and one sister purchased it and the third did not, although all three of us had hoppers. We wanted a pool break every afternoon, but the sister that didn't do the Express pass is not big on rides - she preferred to go to a park in the morning, then return to the hotel to relax. Myself and the other one would do two parks in the morning before returning to the hotel in the afternoon - on two different days I scored fast passes for Rock N Roller Coaster for after lunch so we just hopped over after we ate - fun!

I am not sure if this is in here somewhere, but i am wondering what time do the buses start running? Say we are at MK for an early 7 park opening and want to leave by 9 to get to epcot for opening? Do they start running that early?
