I think until you get there and ask an actual driver, we won't get the true facts. It's a shame but very typical. So...hopefully someone comes back from there soon and gives us the scoop!

So I asked the express people today what the earliest bus would be to leave MK tomorrow since there's 7AM EMH and they said it would leave MK at 9:00 AM but everything I read says 10 AM is the earliest. Has anyone else heard anything like this?

I just took the MK express bus on April11, after 7am EMH, it started running at 10AM not 9AM. I took one to Epcot 10:10 and was waiting near Buzz Lightyear from 9:45 and they weren't even set up.

I recently waited at MK for a 10:00 a.m. Express bus and started asking nearby CMs when there would be someone at the kiosk, as it was about 9:52. A CM went in back, where the buses depart and arrive. At about 9:58 a.m, a CM finally came out from backstage, to check me in. I don't believe that there is any departure before 10:00 o'clock. My 10:00 a.m. bus was going to a park with early EMH.

Thanks all for reporting on the exact question I just had! Looks like Express Transportation will not get me from one park's morning 7am EMH to 9am rope drop for a second park. Not at all surprised, but boy, wouldn't that have been amazing? :)

Anyone used this bus from Epcot to HS? We're going to be making that hop one day. Our last stop at Epcot is Chefs de France, so typically taking the boat to HS would make the most sense. However, DD gets too seasick (even from the Friendship Boats!), so boats are out. This will be mid-day in June, so we don't want to walk either. Would the express bus be worth it? I'm trying to estimate the walking time from France to SSE bus departure area. 15 minutes?

Trying to decide if we want to burn one of our 7 days of transportation on Epcot to HS, but not sure how much of a time/walking distance saver this would be.

Well it's unlimited use for 7 consecutive days, so as long as this particular day isn't your first or last of those 7 days it should be a non-issue. Otherwise it's a tough call... we have the issue of having a 7 night, 8 day trip and wanting to use the express transportation on our first day, last day, and several in between so I'm not sure what we'll do...

Yes, we did hop from HS to Epcot.
France to SE for the bus would be about 10 min for me (and I walk slow)
Since a boat is out for you it is the best option. 1000 times better than walking.

Yes I've done it but when I was spending time in future world. So I really can't help you with time estimates but I would recommend the express bus.

One more just wanting to make sure you understand how this works. You get 7 consecutive days of service. You do not get to spread 7 days over an 8 or more day trip, you can only use them one day right after the other until the 7 days are past.

So what are you saying when you say "burn one of our 7 days?"

Point to point on the Express bus is about a 10-12 minute ride, depending on traffic. The boat takes close to 30 minutes, and the walk takes about 20 minutes. You also need to add in the time to clear security and tapstiles at HS, if arriving by any other means than Express bus.

When we were there in Feb., the Express busses didn't start running till 10am. But who knows?

All I can say is we LOVED the freedom and convenience it gave us! The fact that they are scheduled is awesome.

strongly considering using this in june but i have a question - there are two locations at each park for pickup - how do you know which one to go to when you are ready to leave?
For Express buses between the parks, there is only one location inside each park for pickup/drop off (they are in the same location)

Does the pass ever 'sell out' if you know what I mean? Will I show up and have them say they've sold all they have for that day? Or it doesn't matter as many people as want it can get it so long as they have the right pass for parkhopping.
Also, planning to head from HS to Epcot as we have a lunch reservation at Tutto Italia about 130ish. What time should we be planning to arrange the journey via express transportation?

Express bus it is! Thanks!

We have a 10 day trip, and this day is at the end. So, I have the option of starting our 7 day window earlier and not including this day, or starting it so that this particular day will be included.

Two questions...

(1) Is 7 days = to calendar days or is it a consecutive 24x7 hours?
Let's say I buy the pass at 2pm on Friday - is it good thru 1:59pm the following Friday? Or is it only good thru park close on the following Thursday?

(2) If you buy at the kiosk, I know they don't take magic band payment - are they set up for Apple Pay (or similar)? Or is it just physical credit cards?

Thanks! : )

#1 has been a grey area. No one has updated recently but at one time it was not working correctly. If you read back to when it first started there are posts that mention the issue. The last day was causing errors. Maybe someone who has tried to use it at the very end of their 7 days can update on how it went.

2. I'm 99.9% sure their readers only scan credit cards. They don't have the same device that the cash registers have, they have a scanner on the side of an ipad that you run the card in.

We bought the Express pass yesterday and they only accepted credit cards but their iPad did still scan Magicbands because they needed to link the Express to our bands. I assume their app doesn't allow the customer to enter a PIN

A CM told me that it goes by calendar day, not 24 hour periods. When paying at the kiosk, I was informed that the only acceptable means of payment was by credit card, but I did not ask about Apple Pay, specifically. If I were to guess, judging by how they process payment, I would say physical cards, only. However, you can use all forms of payment at ticket windows and Guest Relations at the parks.

Sorry, I'm lazy and didn't want to read through all 84 pages. I started on page one and then went from 84 to page 82. Seems like the pricing changed?

I will apologize again for any dumb questions, it's been a LONG time since I visited disney last, and it was just two of us. this time it's us and my sister's family. We'll be visiting 10/21-10/27 then we get a few days to ourselves and do Universal.

Anyway:
We will not be staying on resort. Renting a mini-van. So we'll have to pay for parking. We'll be using Park Hopper, although it's too early to know if we'll actually be hopping in the middle of the day or whatnot.

Let's assume we actually hop.
If we wish to punish ourselves (haha) and get back to the car, then drive to another park, do we have to pay for parking again?

Just trying to figure out if the express transportation can save time and/or money.

Thanks!!
