I am intrigued by this service. Thank you for all the good information. I haven't read the entire thread, but a question comes to mind: How will arriving at a park with a capacity closure work with this service? Do you think they will give priority entrance to these people?
My guess is it would follow the standard protocol. I believe hoppers are permitted to enter fairly well up the list but can't remember exactly.

Are you planning to be at WDW when there could possibly be any type of closure?

The initial closing phases (A & B) only affect guests with one-day one-park tickets. No one with Park Hoppers is affected. MK was the only park that reached a Phase B and that was on NY's Eve 2016.

Thank you, that is reassuring. We are planning a trip sometime in July, so I probably don't need to worry about the 4th. We have never been the week between Christmas and New Years, only the week leading up to Christmas. We love to park hop though and this looks like it will make it much easier if they keep it.

I know some people hate to hear this but I still think it's a great deal for 7 days use if you are a park hopping guest. Just the convenience alone of knowing exactly when you need to get to the bus is worth it. My wife and I like to have dinner a lot in Epcot. We don't plan our dinners around which park we are in that day mostly because Epcot has all of our favorite restaurants. To be able to get to Epcot quicker and know exactly what time we need to go will be great.

I think we might like to try this but haven't decided yet. We have not gotten hoppers yet but are thinking about it since all the new things that will be opening up at AK. I think we may want to visit AK more than once but want to fit the other parks in also. We will only be there 7 days and one day will not be a Disney day. So at each park there will be the express bus stop with 4 buses going to each of the different parks? Sounds convenient to me, I hate waiting on buses and dealing with crowded ones. So they arrive every 30 minutes starting at 10:00?

Yes, but they're staggered as you can see in the post in the title so the first bus from some parks to a different park may not be until 10:20.

I have to admit I am very disappointed with the change. Our trips are almost always 10 days in length, and involve anywhere from 5 to 11 people. At the new price, our cost would be $86 per person ($29/7 days + $19/3 days), times however many are traveling or $430 to $946, total. I'm sorry, but in my opinion, that is outrageous--especially, when some of us visit several times a year. It feels like their main consideration is for the 4-person family who takes a 7-day vacation, and they've given very little to their other guests.

If I was in your situation I would just purchase a second 7-day pass rather than 3 additional individual days. Would save you $28 per person. But it would be nice if they offered a length of stay option longer than 7 days.

They do tend to do things based on what they think is the avg party with the avg trip. Sure, there are some bigger/longer but they are not avg. I'm hoping they do a length of stay option at some point also.

Exactly, you will be saving a good amount of money doing it this way. I'm a passholder and have to purchase the 7 day option even though my stays are only 3-4 nights

My wife and I have a 10 day trip planned but are planning to not need to park hop the first few days anyway. After we hit all the parks once, then we plan to park hop. That will allow us to get the 7 day transportation a few days into our trip and not have to buy any extra. Just something to think about for other people who have trips longer than 7 days. Maybe try to plan it so you don't park hop your first few days.

I wonder whether recent users of this service have experienced any problems with the validity of their tickets on the 7th day. Are we having 7 full day of service with the purchase day as the first day?

Thanks in advanced!

Our party of 6 puchased the express tickets on Feb 20th, we used it on Sunday the 26th and it didn't show up on the iPad that they used to scan the MB. We told them it was appearing on our MDE and the CM had to log into our accounts and they saw it there. They said it is a known problem and it is being worked on.

:thanks: I will definitely keep the receipt just in case.

I am excited about this new transportation option! Even with the increase, I will purchase for our trip in May. We are lifetime members of Peter Noone's (Herman's Hermits) fan club. (also known as Noonatics!). We want to catch as many of his concerts, at Epcot, as we can. With this new transportation, it will make it much easier to visit a different park and get over to Epcot, close to concert time! :goodvibes

I think that it will be irrelevant if the park goes to closing phases because people using express transportation never go thru a turnstile after the first park of the day.

They can't overload a park. I'm betting they close the back door as well according to the phases.

I agree. I personally don't think any Disney park will ever reach 100% closure ever again. Nothing to back that up other than my opinion of course. The only people I see in danger are those walking up to buy 1 day tickets.

They are, as well as are those staying on site (which is not all of the Express users but a large number of them).
Phased closures are not going to present a problem for this service.
