Thanks, I'll try your suggestion, I am still fighting for a few other things, have been for 8 years now. A cheap solution in my mind but evedentally, Disney does not agree. I want them to make a tape recording of instructions, I wish to have phone instructions, evacuation instructions, safe instructions (how to use the safe in the room) and coffee pot instructions, all on a tape that they give me at check in so that I can listen to it at will, not when we are all excited when we first get there and want to go to the park, but right before bed or something, and so I can listen to it a few times over and over until I get it. Disney must own tape recorders, heck they make and sell kid tape recorders with Mickey Mouse on the for what <$20, a tape is what <$5, they can rerecord over and over and over, they can make me put a deposit on it just encase I don't return it just like w/c, but he'll 8 years of asking and nothing, nothing at all. My problem with security is I don't mind telling them how to do it, don't touch my dog, wait and take a few extra minutes, I will get me and dog thru with no help, but they are in a rush, because people behind are in a rush to go thru medal detectors, my second problem is the radiation, they say it is small amounts, well even small emounts can cause cancer and if you already had cancer and radiation treatment and got radiation poisoning even a small amount is to much, I wish they would sign my paperwork stating that if I get cancer again that they understand the small amount is harmful to my condition. Pat me down, or like w/c people don't make me go thru it again and again and again.
I do not think Disney can do a pat down at all but could you ask to be worded ( I know for my self the walk through meter detectors are a no go but I can be wonded

Question for anyone who might know:

What is the bus situation after a park closes, but while other parks are still open?

They say busses run 'til the last park closes, I'm just trying to get a little more detail on it.

For instance, HS closes at 8 on my next trip. MK closes at 12. I'd like to close out HS then head to MK for the remainder of the night. Busses from HS run to MK at 20/50 past each hour. So I *assume* I should be able to watch the evening fireworks at HS, then catch the 8:20 bus to MK, correct? (Even though HS will have been closed for 20 minutes at that point)

Or is the last bus out of HS at 7:50? (I have to imagine that won't be the case, as we CAN'T be the only ones planning to make this same hop.)

Say we miss the both 7:50 and 8:20... will there be yet another bus at 8:50? Hypothetically, will they continue to run busses out of HS all the way 'til 11:50? Or do they just keep them running until the guests waiting at HS dry up?

Just trying to grasp the details now so I'm not relying on a bus that may never come.

The Express Bus transportation closes when the park you are in closes. To hop to MK, you'd have to be at the Express Bus by 7:45 to ride the 7:50 bus.

If you stay until the fireworks end, you'll have to catch the park-to-park regular bus at the Bus Stop in the front of DHS. Then, security and regular entrance at MK.

I would ask the CM at the stop when the last buss leaves and plane on being back by this time

in my exsprince they do not run the busses after the park closes so if you miss the buss you will have to take the normal buss and go thought Bag check and all at the new park.

My experience was that I had to be at bus check-in, prior to park closing or use other transportation...that was at HS. However, someone else had a different experience.

We're here and tried express out last night. It's amazing. We did the Star Wars Dessert Buffet, watched the show and then boarded the express to the MK at 8:20. Within 15 minutes I was inside the MK for EMH's. There's no way we could've done that without the express bus. With our touring style on this trip, it's invaluable.

Robo, as always, your maps and helpfulness are extremely appreciated. Thank you for posting these!

Here are maps that show those locations.

That was not our experience on 1/11. The park closed at 8 and the last bus out was at 8:20. Much the same happened at AK. It closed at 7:30 and the last bus out to Epcot ran at 7:50. I haven't read any reports that this has changed since our vist, but it's possible.

Thanks for reporting this! They must have modified the after park closure scheduling.

Did they happen to say how long after park closing the Express Buses would run? It's only that one run immediately after closing?

We didn't ask at every park, but at AK and HS, they said they would run the next scheduled bus out after closing to any park that was still open. So, yes, just one bus after closing, whatever that time is in each park. As we all know this is subject to change. lol I knew others had said they weren't doing it when we left for our trip, but I think they realized the issue it was causing and it had changed by the 11th, our first day. Getting to the MK for EMH after watching the Star Wars show was a big part of our plan, so we asked going in to the park that day. We couldn't have done it and made it worth the time had we not used the Express service.

Nice, direct trip from deep inside DHS... to deep inside MK.
The CM at MK waited for everyone to exit the bus, then walked us all to the backstage Tomorrowland
portal to the park.
We entered right next to Buzz Lightyear's outdoor Meet & Greet (next to the Buzz attraction.)

How long did the bus ride take?
Basically how long did it take from the moment you were walking outside of DHS to the bus to the moment you stepped inside Tomorrowland?

Just trying to gauge for my own plans coming up in March (if still offered).

Based on this thread and just the general concept (like the Early Morning Magic) .. it seems like a pretty neat "add-on" and fairly popular (among those who know about its existence).
I'll take these type of improved guest experiences over more dessert parties any day.

What about coming back to a park that is closed. Obviously that wouldn't work since the park you are trying to go to is closed, so do the run buses back to a closed park (and just drop you off at the regular bus stop) or do buses simply not run to a park that is closed?

Example, if MK is open an hour or two later than DHS on any given day and your car is still at DHS, I assume you need to plan to get back to DHS before park close OR just take the regular bus back to DHS?

I have done it a few times and it really varies on a few things like how many vehicles are infant of you trying to get back stage ( we had to wait 5 minutes one time to get back stage) and also traffic too. I would say in most cases 10 to 15 minutes 15- 20 if the MK is involved since it is so fair out of the way.

the times I have used it they do not go to a park that closes or leave from a park that is closed ( some say they did) but I would not count on it or maybe they do one lest one just after the night time show at the park. if you park you car at say AK that close at 8 and you are at MK that close at 11 you more then like will need to take the regular AK buss to get your car this lat at night.

one nice thing about Disney is they will find a way for you to get back to your car.

They told us they do not run to closed parks. I've never tried it, but do they even run the park to park regular busses to a closed park?

You'd have to take a bus to Swan/Dolphin or any of the Boardwalk resorts to get back to DHS after it closes.

Yes they do run the park to park buss I got on the AK buss when I was staying st AKL and AK had been closed for a number of hours

Yesterday we parked at Epcot went to DHS asked about the last bus back to Epcot because we wanted to watch the Star Wars fireworks. DHS closed at 8 and the last bus to Epcot was at 8. The fireworks were at 7:45 I asked if we would have time to watch the fireworks and catch the 8 o'clock bus and I was told no. It would be nice if they ran at least one bus after the park closed for things like fireworks viewing.

Yes, they run them back to all parks until 1 hour after the last park is open. Of course you can do the monorail between EP and MK but even if AK closed at 7pm, there will still be a bus going to it until 10pm for EP, 9pm from DHS and 10-11pm from MK. No tram service though.

And really you would want to that bus home because your car is closer to the basic bus stop.

We were exiting ToT and decided we wanted to head to MK.

I told my wife that I had recently made a MAP of the "Internal Park Hopper Bus" locations and that I knew the DHS stop was just around the corner past R'n'RC.

We walked over to the spot and the CM asked where we were headed.
I said, "Magic Kingdom," and she said the bus was JUST ready to leave.
Another CM ran out to the bus and asked the driver to wait.
The first CM signed us up for the service in less than a minute,
and we were personally escorted by the second CM to the MK bus.
The driver greeted us and we sat down on a wonderfully cool bus (the outside temp was in the mid 80's and humid)
with only about 8 other riders.

We simply strolled over to CoP and stepped inside when the doors opened.
Easy!

Kudos to all of the very pleasant and cheerful CMs involved in that entire transaction!
Very cool! How long would you say that took, "door to door"?
