Yes, they run them back to all parks until 1 hour after the last park is open. Of course you can do the monorail between EP and MK but even if AK closed at 7pm, there will still be a bus going to it until 10pm for EP, 9pm from DHS and 10-11pm from MK. No tram service though.

And really you would want to that bus home because your car is closer to the basic bus stop.
the regular busses do run after park closes ( they run until every guest leaves the parks) I think the PP was talking about the express buss service with from what I have been told dose not run after park close and if they do it is just 20 minutes like another PP said.

I'm looking forward to trying it out for my birthday trip in March if this service is still running.
Such a nice thing to be able to park hop without having to go through bag check and tap stiles. :)

No, I think you misunderstood the poster's question and my reply was correct. They already realized the express didn't run and wanted to know how to get their car if it was left at another park.

They told us they do not run to closed parks. I've never tried it, but do they even run the park to park regular busses to a closed park?

ok. yes Disney will get you to your car no matter how late you stay at the parks or really where you car is. but you may have to wait a while to get back to your car

What about coming back to a park that is closed. Obviously that wouldn't work since the park you are trying to go to is closed, so do the run buses back to a closed park (and just drop you off at the regular bus stop) or do buses simply not run to a park that is closed?

Example, if MK is open an hour or two later than DHS on any given day and your car is still at DHS, I assume you need to plan to get back to DHS before park close OR just take the regular bus back to DHS?

our car was at AK - we were told the last bus ran at 7:40 (AK closed at 7:30 - can't remember exactly if the last bus left where ever we were at 7:40 or would arrive at AK at 7:40 ) in any case that last bus would drop us off in the parking lot and not inside the park (since the park was already closed).

Just to be clear, I wasn't wanting to know how to get to my car, that was someone else. I was just asking if the regular park to park busses go to closed parks. We never take our car so I had no experience with that. It gets confusing as to whether we're talking about regular busses or the express. The Express (at least when we were there) runs a final bus after a park has closed at whatever it's regular schedule is. They only run to open parks though.

Yes, it is confusing. The regular park to park do continue running as does the boardwalk boats and monorail.

I think the express busses are hopefully doing surveys and will consider doing at least 1-2 more busses past closing, especially AK and DH. I mean even Epcot. If you stay to watch Illuminations in Future World area, it would be nice to catch an Express bus at 9:30pm to EMH night at MK. It would be much quicker than the droves of monorail riders and going back thru security and Main St.

Actually, on the day we did the 4 parks, Epcot was our last park. Once we had decided that morning to try and hit all 4 parks it occurred to us we could go back to the MK for EMH after Illuminations. We ended up not doing it - My grandson tired out after AK so for me it was just a trip to Epcot to get on the resort bus. My daughter and son-in-law called it a night after Illuminations. But the express bus was available after closing to the MK. At the time we were there, if there was an open park after the park you were in closed, there was an express bus to take you there.

We used the Express service last week, Tuesday through Saturday. It was nifty and felt like we knew some sort of special secret, but it didn't turn out to be the game changer that I was expecting. We hop frequently and 3 parks a day is fairly typical for us, but it turns out that we generally like to use the hotel room as a waystation between parks to take a rest, switch out bags or shoes, or whatever. I think we hopped a couple times park to park *just* so we could use the bus service we'd paid for. I don't regret the purchase, and since there was only two of us, it wasn't a big expenditure... but I don't expect that we'd try it again.

I was waiting for a report like this. I think we will use it in March if available but in the summer months, we always do one park in AM and go ride crazy and then leave for the hotel for swim/naps/showers and head back to another park at night for a more relaxing evening. We rarely go park to park to park because it is too hot and exhausting. Maybe that is another Jedi mind trick Disney had up it's sleeve. "If they buy it, they will come... and spend more time in the parks spending $$ and less time in hotel!!"

I do think we'd use it less in the heat of the summer as we always go back to our resort for an afternoon break. But it would allow us to easily hit a 3rd park that stays open later than whichever one we are at in the evening. And it would allow for spur of the moment decisions to move back and forth between parks. I can't imagine us not buying this every trip if it's available.

On this trip though in early January, we felt no need to return to the resort every day. With cooler temps and shorter park hours, we just didn't need to.

Yes, and it's great to see nighttime entertainment in multiple parks.
Without the Express bus I'm not sure we'd have been able to watch F! and get to Epcot for Illuminations too. We just can't walk that fast.
So we were able to watch F!, hop on the 8:00 bus to HS and go to Epcot in time to ride Soarin and watch Illuminations.
In the summer when MK is typically open later we'd have been able go to from Epcot to MK too.

Now that the month is over. Has there been any indications of this service going away?
No, all signs point to it staying around, for now.
Though they can take anything away with little notice, of course.
But right now they are advertising it a lot, both at the resorts and in emails sent out to upcoming resort stays.

For those who've used it recently, are the buses getting more crowded? Earlier in this thread, it sounded like there were usually less than a dozen people on most buses. Wondering if the growing advertising is resulting in more crowds?

It was not during our use last week.
There was never more than 6 on any bus except our last one from Epcot to MK on Friday night. We took the 6:00 bus and there was actually enough people to fill the queue at Epcot and even an ECV to load. It was maybe 10 people, easily the busiest we had. I did notice that every time we used it there were others heading to other parks too. So I think every bus was leaving with at least 1 guest on it
I did note a potential issue with ECV usage. Their schedule.
Loading 1 ECV caused them to leave Epcot a couple of min late. Had there been a 2nd one, it would been even more late. Now, maybe the bus arrived later than it should have, not sure. But if ECV users start to use it often they'll want to tweak loading a bit, to give themselves more time. The CM loading us had us wait while he went to tell the driver they had an ECV so he had the seats up and ramp down when we walked to the stop. Still, they didn't allocate quite enough time to get the ECV loaded, the guests loaded and depart on time.
Otherwise, every bus we departed on left at the exact minute it was supposed to.
