New evening show coming to Universal

Together with a new nightclub and Bubba Gump at CityWalk.

I think it's good news that Universal will, at last, have an evening spectacular again - just hope it's better than it sounds! The nightclub could be fun and I've never eaten at a Bubba Gump, so I'll definitely give it a whirl.

Universal was in much need of a night time show.

I have to confess we're usually out the park by lunchtime - can any tell me how bus the parks get early evening?

That would be a great addition to Universal and certainly would encourage me to book a couple of days at a Universal hotel.

The only problem is - the nightclub is supposed to attract the 20 - 40's crowd! How about an old 48 year old child? Where does he fit in?

Yeah, they've definitely missed the opportunity for a geriatric joint. Then again, maybe that's intentional...

I remember when we went in 1992 there was an evening all action show with a miami vice style boat police chase in the waterways. It happened just as it was getting dark. Does anyone else remember this?

It certainly would have made you hang around for the end of the night, like Fantasmic does at the Studios, Wishes at MK and Illuminations at Epcot.

This would have been great last year when we were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel but this year we are at Saratoga and Beach Club Villas so probably won't hang about.

It definately could encourage me to book at one of the on-site hotels again together with the front of the line access too.

Yes - I remember the same show. It was very good, loud pyrotechnics, fast boats jumping out of the water etc. Also splash zones were marked out that were nowhere near big enough so some people got very wet!!
